The word on the street is that the past owner of the Club use to serve dinner to the public every Friday night, and the new owner has continued this tradition. This is buffet style Indian food (and some Italian- which never made sense to me) at a good price- I want to say approx 1200KSH + drinks. The food... More

They have a huge buffet on Fridays. You pay 750 shillings (jacked up from 500, might change again) and you get amazing Indian food. They have some vegetarian options. You get ice cream at the end. It's pretty magical. They get you on drinks. A beer is expensive for Kisumu, something like two-fifty bob, and they gut you if you... More

the food here was really tasty, however the tables were all outside resulting in a ridiculous amount of mozzies attacking you while trying to enjoy dinner. the staff were all lovely as well and were more then happy to call taxi's etc.

My first taste of Kenyan Indian cuisine and it is delicious. A large variety of dishes to choose from and the price is right (about $6.00 USD for all you can eat!)

Simba has a friday night dinner that is open to the public. Amazing Indian food. Fresh Naan Bread. Clean tables/dishes. Excellent! Cost 500 kes per person. Worth it!

Friday nights, starting at 9pm (late I know, but worth it), there is an Indian buffet held here. This is a favorite of ex-pats and NGO workers. Food is amazing and all you can eat, including dessert!

Don't get me wrong, this is no palace, it is open air eating near to the hockey pitch on Jomo Kenyatta Highway. It is not a private club; anyone can eat there. There are very few good eating establishments in Kisumu; only three I have personal knowledge of. Simba Club is probably the best value and has a varied menu... More
