Delicious!

Fabulous empanadas. Well worth the trip. Try as many different kinds as you can. My personal favorite was the Arabe. We got them to go but I would have loved to sit in the restaurant and try to find the oldest date on the wall.

Maybe you should not order a salad in an empanadas restaurant, but we had to wait for one hour on it.. Besides, the ordered empanadas came even 10 minuts after the salad.

Delicious empanadas and great variety. All homemade and prepared as you order. The open kitchen let you have a peek at the empanadas in the making. Cosy atmosphere.

Lives up to the hype. Both locations serve a dozen different types of empanadas plus a few other local specialties. The one south of the plaza has a slightly more extensive menu and big outdoor courtyard. Great spot for a snack or light lunch.

I had been living in Buenos Aires for six months before coming to Cafayate, living on not that much money, I had really gotten sick of empanadas. I didn't want to see another empanada for MONTHS. And then my mom found a review for this place, and said we should check it out. Being the wonderful child I am, I... More

We loved our evening meal of empanadas so much we went back to the other branch the next day for lunch. Having the menu of 12 empanadas plus jug of wine was a great way to try all the flavours and it was enough for 3 of us (girls). The service was great & later in the evening a couple... More

Cool place with reviews and comments written all on the walls. Very friendly service and definitely the best Empanadas I ate so far! You can choose between 12 (!) different fillings, we tried nearly all. :)

Great place to try many different sorts of tasty empanadas. You can eat-in or, if the weather is nice, take them and go it them in the nearby park.

Eventually tracked this place down just off the square by Chatus wine bar and went for dinner. Soooo good. Excellent baked empanadas to start in a fantastic choice of flavours (although personally the traditional carne was still my favourite). Very reasonably priced local house wine that was very tasty. Mains of carbonara and salteado (both typical local food)... delicious with... More

It's now moved next door to Chato's wine bar just off the Plaza. 12 empanadas and a litre of wine for 96 pesos is a bargain. The first night we went there I thought for that price the wine would be like paint stripper but it was very pleasant. The food was great, very tasty with some empanadas having quality... More
