Best food in Caracas

In a very unassuming place. Sit outside under the tree, you will love this place. The chef/owner is recognized as one on the 30 best in Latin America. He is also an incredibly nice guy.

For a country where it is very difficult to find food in the markets and where to get imports goods is impossible to make what they do is remarkable

Alto is located in a beatiful garden and inside it is very comfortable and you can see what goes on in the kitchen. Their private room upstairs is also great for small groups. On the inside there is a magical kitchen doing wonders with local produce and ingredients. Carlos Garcia has done a superb job!

Hardly better in Caracas, Carlos is a highly recognized chef and Alto keeps a great venezuelan based cuisine. Go for it.

Came here for my sister's graduation dinner. Great location although it can get crazy for valet parking. The service was excellent. Everyone very attentive. The food was something I was not very used to but it was really good. Portions were really really small for the prices.

A restaurant that can be in any city in the world, fantastic is the word to describe the whole experience. This is a restaurant that bring back the old reputation of Caracas as a Culinery Capitol.

I'm used to fine dinning all over the world so I decided to try this restaurant with such excellent comments and rating. I was actually dissapointed. The service is good but it can get overwhelming. At first they gave us fried plantains, which were great, the mango and the tomato sauce were yummy. After we got an aperitif that sadly... More

For decades Caracas was known as one of the gastronomic capitals of Latin America. At its peak, Caracas counted with world class French and Italian restaurants where elegance and taste were of first order. Many things have changed since then. Fortunately for those who love this beaten but yet beautiful city, there are a few places that reminence those good... More
