The food is quite good, traditional. Depending on the exchange rate you received the value for me can be extraordinary. The service is a bit slow and distracted but that seems to be an issue in Venezuela generally and not specific to this restaurant. If you go you will eat well. It won't be memorable but neither will you be... More

This is one of the great classics of Caracas grill restaurants. Having lived there many years ago, I just went back and found exactly the same quality and charm as years ago. The place feels like the <venezuela of the golden years: classic, serious eating, old fashioned, great food. Stay with the grill menu (parrilla). Ask for the meat "medium... More

Go for anything on the menu as long as it is cooked on the grill. It's great. This is a very old and great restaurant. Built within an old colonial house, it has a very nice bar and great sitting. Valet parking and safe at night.

La Estancia seems to have been around forever. It's right next to the Renaissance hotel where we were staying so seemed the ideal choice for the 'must do' steak experience. We visited at around 7pm on a Wednesday evening. Most of the guests were foreigners with a few tables filled with Venezuelan families. You get a nice welcome. We started... More

The restaurant is quite expensive (expect to pay around 400 bolivares per person). The quality of the meat though is quite good. We have tried the imported rump steaks (punta trasera importada) and it was devine. Good choice for meat lovers

The food was very good as well as the attention. Long history restaurant with a lot of old photos in the walls.

Just to avoid any confusion - address is correct but shown location on the map is off by a couple of km. Reference point: it's located right next to Renaissance Caracas La Castellana Hotel, next building down that street. We've finally eaten there yesterday (tried a couple of times before on Xmas and New Year Eve - yea, big surprise,... More

I used to go quite frequently some time ago; the place is very original with some open inside patio and trees that cross through the roof at places in between tables; the food is very good if not excellent, the meat is usually GREAT. The down side is that as it has existed for the las three decades at least... More
