We have visited several times Astrid y Gastón in Caracas and we have always enjoyed the food. The grilled octopus is a must, so delicious that last time I ordered it as an entreé instead of an appetizer so I didn't have to share with anyone. Service has been usually good, but sometimes a little slow. We certainly will go... More

I had high expectations of this restaurant as it is one of my favorites in Bogota. The service was awful and unbelievably slow. It took 3 hours to finish dinner and we had to keep calling the waiters for everything. I ordered the shrimp soap (expecting bisque), but this soup was watery with tiny shrimp, a poached egg, rice and... More

One of the best Peruvian restaurants in Caracas. You've got to try the octopus and the ceviches, the goatling and the chocolate sphere dessert. They're a must.

Over the last three years I have visited this restaurant three times and I have a feeling they are going down one step each time . This time here are my comments : I understand that food and drink supply is complicated in Caracas today , but finding sparkling water should not be impossible ! We could get sparkling water... I wanted to visit the restaurant for a long time due to Peru's Astrid & Gastón reputation, but this is nothing like that. The service personnel were nice but very unprofessional, they brought the wine menu mid dinner, the waiters kept coming over you to remove the plates instead of from the side, the hostess was rude because my reservations... My husband and I have been to the ones in Lima and Bogota and had an amazing experience in both. While in Caracas, we thought we would go back to this favorite restaurant of ours and it completely ruined our memories. To start they made us go to the lounge when there were tables available (we were there almost until... More

For me Peruvian food is excellent, this new style for me is to enjoy a friendly atmosphere and a beautiful presentation, discover the typical Peruvian dishes in this new style. I visited this restaurant on 3 occasions, the last two if food was a little salty in my opinion.
