Go For the Experience

This is definitely a place to go for the experience, rather than the quality of the ice cream. There were about 50-60 flavors available when I was there, however the lack of supplies in Venezuela seems to have affected the quality of the product. This long established, famous ice cream place was open during Carnaval 2015 which was a pleasant surprise to us as we travelled to Merida for a short mini vacation from the coast. First time visitors.... Lined up and got excited with the large crowd of over 50 people. They had lots of flavors to select from BUT with the shortages... More

this lille place has been famous for making ice creams from any imaginable flavors. there are hotdog, stew, shrimps, garlic, scotch whiskey , beer, any kind of treat, fruits, or any wired food you can spell. They even have a Guinness World record. So if you are traveling or staying at this city. Don´t miss to step by at this... More

Loved the place. Have been in business over 40 years. They have beef ice cream, as well as Black beans, take these 2 just an example. Tomato ice cream, Corn (my favorite!) This is a must-go place in Merida

A must-visit place in Merida with hundreds of ice cream options. The place is ussually packed so be aware. Sadly not all flavours are available so if you choose one you like the chances are that they will not serve it that they. We had 4 options and none of them were available so we asked the employee for suggestions... More

This is one of those places you MUST go when you visit Merida, but do not expect that they will have all those 1,000 flavours of ice cream... They only have few of them... I will probably recommend to try a "normal" flavour one, because I am not sure how long those weird ones have been sitting there for... Anyways...... More

While it holds the Guinness record for most flavours, let it be said that it's nearly impossible for them to offer such a wide selection of flavours and have them all freshly available for you to taste. There are other places in town where you can get a nicer ice cream of the more traditional flavours. If you want to... More

Run by a pleasant Portuguese guy that opened in 1984, not only can you try a bevy of unique flavors (beef, cream of crab, tomato are oddly accurate; cheese and corn are really excellent) but the quality of ice cream itself is really very good. Don't miss a stop here
