Elegant Dining in San Antonio de Areco

Recommended by our hotel staff, Rossita is a gem of a place. We found it EMPTY at 9:00 pm, on a Saturday night. We asked if it was even open, and the hostess (co-owner Esperanza Rossi) assured us that it was, and if we wanted to eat she could seat us at 9:30 or 11:30. We were seated alone at... read more

We ate here on our last night in Argentina so wanted something special. Sadly it was average. I think we were the only foreigners which was a good sign. The bread and starters were exceptional. The steak was also good but the pasta tasted microwaved

We visited over Christmas 2014 and were totally amazed that in the middle of the "country" we were able to find the cutest, most charming town with a number of great restaurant choices. Rossita was outstanding! Great service, fab food and an amazing selection. Our daughter has an egg allergy and they were able to accommodate with a number of... More

Quiet restaurant, cool and peaceful, attentive but not over-bearing service and fabulous fish. Unusual dessert of ice-cream in mango-soup. Best meal in San Antonio de Areco.

Its good to find a different style of food from asado in Argentina and this Italian aims to deliver that variety. It generally succeeds but our group found the standard of main courses variable. Nonetheless we would go back in prefence to yet another barbecue.

The starters, the pasta, and the fish were very good. The service on a weeknight was great, quiet and attentive. If you have had too many steaks, and yes, that happens no matter how good they are, try this restaurant as an alternative. The night we were there they had run out of limoncello so we tried the orange-cello. Delicious.

if you want an excellent break from the estancia routine of beef and more beef, try this new little fusion restaurant in town. A starter of seared salmon with a spicy sweat-sour sauce makes a great change from chorizos, and there are an interesting range of pasta, fish and, of course, meat dishes. Let's hope this chic newcomer, one of... More

In my opinion Rossita is definitely a step-up from most of the other restaurants in San A de Areco. The appetizers and not least the bread was homemade and very delicious. LIkewise for the pasta dish I chose - clearly prepared with a very different level of ambition in mind. Highly recommended.
