We ate here and we all had pasta which was good, nothing that stood out but no complaints either. The only issue we had was getting someone to help us. We were there early so there was only our table and one other, so the place was not crowded at all, but every time we needed something, the server was... More

Had Christmas Eve dinner here. The food was good and imaginative, bit on the heavy side, but enjoyed it very much. Service was on the slow side (compared to the US), but very friendly. all in all an enjoyable and fun dinner.

One of the few places open in Chalten on Christmas Day, 2013. Which also was a cold, rainy, blustery, wintery feeling day. This was the closest restaurant to our hotel that was open, and we went for lunch with another couple we had met along the way. Started with some soup ( to get warm), a bottle of wine and... More

For something quick and acceptable you can´t go wrong. The place lacks character and decor but the staff are helpful and friendly. Good choice of food for meat eaters and vegetarians and reasonably priced as well.

Our meal started well, good starters and mains. Helpful and friendly waiter too. However, when it came to dessert, both came to the table frozen. My wife ordered Apple pie and I ordered a cheese mousse. We returned both after eating one spoonful each only to find both on the bill when we went to pay. We told the waiter... More

When I travel to a remote place like Patagonia, I don't expect much from the food. I would be perfectly happy for simple sandwiches that kept me satisfied and replenished my energy after a hike. We found Ritual del Fuego on our first night in El Chalten and fell in love. The Bandiola (pork chop with calafate berry sauce) is... More

When we first walked in, we had our doubts - decor a bit weird, furniture strangely arranged- but one look at the menu and we decided to stay. Authentic food, cooked brilliantly and decent portions for tired hikers. After a busy day go for the warm chocolate dessert as a treat- it was amazing!

Most reviews on this restaurant are very good, so we gave it a try, but perhaps we were unlucky or on that evening the kitchen was understuffed, but our personal experience was not good. We arrived at about 8 p.m., there were only a few tables occupied, but within a few minutes the restaurant became nearly full. We ordered a... More

Was surprised that a 4-course dinner with wine-pairing would be organized in a remote village like El Chaltén. Well, Ritual del Fuego did, and even threw in a live-musician, singing ballads.
