Le Mouton noir was recommended to us...and it didn't disappoint us ! Great food, great service...so yummy !!
I had the classic "Cocotte" and was a bit disappointed. First, it was grossly over-sized... it really would feed a small family. It needed some spicing up... My wife's steak was very good. We loved the atmosphere and the story of the place but I wouldn't put it at the top of a gastronomic scale.
Had a great dinner here during march break with my wife and 2 kids. The tartare was excellent as was all the appetizers. I was a little disappointed with my coquette. They claim it has won awards, but it did not live up to expectations. Don't get me wrong…it was good…but just not as spectacular as the build up and... More
Excellent service well prepared regional dishes, try the Cocotte d'Épaule de Porc Biologique de Damien, a "pot pie" pour les anglais. I was able to finish mine but I did see a couple of ladies sharing one. My partner had duck breast that was very good. For dessert we had the Tarte Tatin done in a novel way. It was... More
The ambience was nice - not too busy for middle of the week, service was really good.It was a little warm by the window since the heater is right there but that is minor.
Very nice and cozy place with great service a nice menu and the food was excellent. The server was very polite and knowledgeable about the food as one of our party has a wheat allergy. Definitely going back. And....make a reservation the place fills up fast.
Cool ambience. Loved the pate, pork shoulder and lamb....there was so much food my husband and I could have shared 1 of the dishes. I would agree with other travelers that this restaurant was a little pricey (we were there over Christmas so were prepared to splurge). Definitely worth the visit!
My wife and I had a great honeymoon dinner here. The place has a good reputation and I understand why. We went early and were seated without a problem.
At the recommendation of Au Clocheton B&B, we dined at le Mouton Noir, a delicious restaurant and a gentle stroll from the B&B. Service was good, food enticing, and restaurant pleasant. Good wine & craft beer as well.
The restaurant was full and we were lucky to find a table without booking. We couldn't stay outside on the river due to the moskitoes but enjoyed an excellent dinner. Starter was a superb salad and then we took the scallops which were out of this world, served on a puree (mashed potatoes) even better than mine and I thought... More
