If you want to taste Baie Saint-Paul greatest treasures, go to Le Mouton Noir. It is an expensive-chic restaurant, but it is totally worth the price. We tasted local food at it's very best. Important to note: you NEED to have a reservation for dinner as there is only two services per night.

I loved everything thing about my meal and specially their little punch (rum, lime and sugar cane on ice).

The food lived up to its reputation as the best restaurant in the area. At lunch time, the prices were very reasonable.

The service was good but the dishes were rather bland and not particularly well presented. I'd give this 3 out of 5 stars.

"Disappointing" is the best word to describe our visit to this restaurant and we do not recommend eating here. The food was bland at best and not worth the money paid. Our appetizers (14$ salads) were a joke: the seafood salad had only three half-pieces of shimp and was served without the promised oyster mushroom sauté and the goat-cheese salad... More

Despite its reputation for artisan food producers, the Charlevoix doesn't offer a large number of really outstanding restaurants. The Mouton Noir is, happily, everything we wanted. The ambience, service and offerings were all outstanding. I couldn't find a wine in the list that I knew well-enough to order, so we went with the house red, which was pleasant and inexpensive.... Per reviews here, gave it a go. It didn't disappoint! Lunch menu was small, but my meal was delicious, and from the looks of others, theirs looked good, too! Reasonably priced for the food. Awesome steak, delicious homemade fries. Took our cc, and parking right across the street. Would recommend.

- Romantic setting - Authentic French cooking with a homey touch (loved the pork shoulder casserole) - good service - can't think of anything disliked

Best restaurant in town. Trendy food. Restaurant is not that intimate, but certainly worth the experience.
