Really enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was very close to British Pubs we have visited. The local folks were very friendly and the entertainment great.

Service was good but dinner only average. The salmon was cold and over cooked. Our table was greasy and had to be re-washed, which was quickly done by our server.

We had the pleasure of eating at the Spitfire last Sunday for lunch. The Bangers and Mash, Fish Cakes, Lobster Sandwich and Fish & Chips were excellent. Service was great and the atmosphere is what a Pub should be. Everyone was happy with their meals and did not require deserts. School House Porter beer is worth trying for you dark... More

The food was good and the service friendly and courteous. A nice place to eat or have a drink while watching the amazing tidal shift.

Met with an old family friend for a reunion. The Sunday night prime rib dinner was delicious, as were the other choices we made. Service was very prompt, friendly, and accommodating. The beer drinkers tell me the beer choices were great. Would definitely return next time we're in the area.

The food was excellent. The place was always busy. We had a 15% discount card because the owners of the Clockmakers Inn gave everyone who stayed there a discount card.

Lots of Shepherd Neame posters (Bottle of Britain, etc) but where was the beer? Canadian beer is pretty good (Propeller and Garrison we enjoyed). Extensive menu, some British classics, some not. Ceiling fan a bit cold, and it was a bit big and empty - needs British pub culture, but people here only seem to eat in a pub, then... More

Our experience was much like "Not worth the Wait" of August 3 with the exception that we couldn't even get a menu! Upon arrival last evening (August 12) no one was manning the "Please Wait to be Seated sign", so another patron told us to just seat ourselves as no was going to come. So we sat, in full view... This place has potential. The service was lacking in many areas. The food was just ok. We waited almost 30 minutes for sandwiches, fries and fish cakes, which were actually more like 'greasy potato cakes'. It seemed like our waitress ignored us. The prices were fair. It seems more like a place to grab a drink with your buddies, than... More

This was quite a good restaurant. The Monday special is a seafood platter which includes lobster chowder, scallops, shrimp, fish nuggets and fries, all for $12. It was an excellent value and a full plate. The platter isn’t offered on other days. Lots of beers on tap.
