Family afternoon meal

I visted the Nantyffin with my family last weekend. The staff were extremely polite towards us, the service was great although we had to wait a little longer than expected but it was definitely worth it as we all enjoyed our meal, very delicious and plently of it!! The food here is really lovely, much of it sourced locally. Very reasonably priced, and the dining room decor is really well done. A lovely place to go to have a meal.

I have been coming to this place for some years now I love the building scenery and the food is locally produced and when its done well its delicious. It did go a little downhill at one time though the menu was the same for months on end. I've seen managers and staff come and go and it seems like... More

Me and my girlfriend chanced across this place while driving around the area looking for a place do eat. I am extremely glad we chose here. The staff were welcoming on arrival, and they had a lovely and well stocked bar. On to the food, I had the slow cooked pork which I highly recommend, I haven't had pork that... More

Having seen the Nantyffin from the road a number of times I was passing whilst traveling for work and thought I would stop to rest and get some lunch. The lunchtime special was absolutely delicious. The service was speedy and the staff were attentive and helpful. I will come back as it is less than an hour from home. A... More

Friday night , arrived 8 pm, staff harassed and not that busy, told would be 15 mins before order could be taken, by 45 minutes despite two promises of with you in a minute we gave up. Really want to like this place, good ethos , we are local and like good food but just disappointing. Staff young, don't seem... More

I stopped here with my husband passing through as thought it looked like a charming little pub. We had a warm welcome and found the staff polite and accommodating. Once we were shown to our table we ordered drinks and browsed at the menu (we noticed all the ales we local and told they are changed regularly) My husband ordered... More

This establishment has been through some major ups and downs. Many years ago it appeared to be little more than a bikers pub but then, one year, we returned to find it was gaining a reputation as a good restaurant. Having eaten there on occasion over the last 10-15 years, it has been both excelent and disappointing. The last time,... More

I have eaten here many times in the past...we stay in Crickhowell for the Hay Festival and normally eat at a variety of places, including the Nantyffin. Sunday night dinner - the incompetence was staggering. There was quite a lot missing off the menu, we ordered the most expensive bottle of red wine on their menu...a Chateau Musar. We asked... More
