Called in for lunch to find pub is in new hands. Marked improvement in decor. Had a well cooked light meal, reasonably priced, served by polite friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Nice food, good service and knew about Coeliac and offered to make a sauce instead of the gravy it came with

Had heard good things about this place so thought we'd call by one Saturday lunch time. The choice of food was very basic - general pub grub - lasange, steak, gammon, pie. Food was average and very overpriced for what you got! Service not much better, tables hadn't been cleared and the pub was very cold. A complete waste of... More

Turned up for an impromptu meal for 8 and it was immediately obvious that the landlady was rushed off her feet as she had no serving staff. Ordered drinks which came eventually but to be fair to her, she didn't charge us. Ordered food but 9 meals arrived. Could have been our fault. Food was pretty average to be honest.... More

Delightful staff. Great décor and immaculate. The fellow I dealt with was friendly and chatty - which is exactly what I needed. I enjoyed my visit here, they have GREAT chips too.

Given a very good instead of average as the desserts were lovely! 4 of us (adults) on Mothers day booked for a late dinner, the owners were very helpful and fitted us in. When we arrived the restaurant was full (except our table!). Considering they were busy we didn't have to long to wait. The meat, 2 pork 2 beef... More

Stopped by this pub as we were walking around the area. We both had steak baguettes with sides of chips and onion rings. Good quality meat, cooked very well. Decent size portions and it came with salad and small bowl of crips also. Onion rings were best my other half has tasted! Dark colouring, nice and crispy, without being overly... More

We've visited a number of times when traveling to see friends who live locally. A lovely warm atmosphere, Bernie and Julie are great hosts and the food and service never disappoints. Open mic nights is great fun and Sunday lunch is the perfect 'morning after' cure. Can't fault it!
