Enjoyable

Having visited this pub on and off over the years it was good to see it has had a makeover although I'd recommend replacing the old fashioned ornaments with some candles! Sunday lunch was good we both had beef which was really tasty, could have had slightly more vegetables than served but overall... read more

Stopped at the Bridge End Inn on a Monday lunch time. Traditional pub offering traditional pub fare. Service was very friendly and professional. We went for the bbq chicken and cod and chips. Both presented very nicely, tasty and hot - really pleasantly surprised! Lovely modern, clean decor in the restaurant area and traditional bar area.

We had decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat whilst out and about in the Brecon Beacons. The pub is really nice, it has plenty of character & the staff were really friendly. We only ate baguettes but they were well filled & really tasty. It's in a lovely part of the Country & right on the... More

Stayed in the Brdige End after being here a couple of times before when saling the Mon and Brecon canal. Room was spacious (room1) and bathroom like the outback of Australia. There was a loo in there somewhere but needed binoculars to find it! One comment the termostat for the room is out side in the corridor, make sure you... More

We visited this pub after fell walking nearby for some refreshments and a meal. The setting is lovely and the service was good, however we didn't eat because we felt the menu was a little pricey. That said, we enjoyed our short rest there.

We went out for a drive and ended up at the Bridgend. It wasn't very busy and we were served quite quickly. We both chose fish and we weren't disappointed. The batter was lovely and crisp and the fish was really tasty. The food isn't cheap but we both thought it was worth the price we paid.

a little gem of a old historic pub, great food, in a fantastic setting, outside eating in the summer right on the weir. we ate outside and watched an otter eating his catch right in front of us. the landlord had a great deadpan sense of humor with the locals in the bar, so much more than just a place... We visited this pub on 7th January, we did not book a table but walked in on the off-chance of getting a meal. The restaurant had a lovely authentic olde world charm, it was warm and immaculately clean, the staff (and locals) were very friendly and welcoming despite our rather sudden and unexpected appearance on a bleak January night. The... More

We visited the pub on the 1st November as a party of 6 who were staying at the nearby Riverside Caravan Park. The pub itself is really quaint and "oldy worldy" with a great atmosphere. The barman was courteous and the menu was varied and reasonably priced. Along with our food order we also ordered a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc... More

The food was good but service terrible, quicker to get your own drinks, took an hour for the food to arrive, after waiting 40 mins for the order to be taken. At the end of the evening had to wait at the door so we could pay. Everyone was too tied up with locals to be bothered with tourists.
