Good service

Just popped in for a little lunch, service was good, and there are plenty of spaces to lose yourself in. A bit pricey for some dishes, but it was OK - I had a Welsh Rarebit, which was very nice, but seemed a little expensive for a single slice of bread with some fancy cheese on it. That's only a... read more

Yummy deserts/cakes. Best place to sit is upstairs at the back of the restaurant. Friendly staff. Chilled atmosphere.

During our recent holiday to the Usk Valley we visited Number Eighteen for tea, lunch and breakfast. It is a very versatile cafe and the quality is first class. Lovely range of teas (the Welsh Afternoon / orange pekoe blend is delicious) and the full breakfast is beautifully cooked and presented. The owner and staff are delightful and the service... More

Nice little cafe with a varied menu.have been there previously. However I must say that the Welsh rarebit, whilst tasty, was a very meagre one slice of a small loaf with a couple of lettuce leaves, definately not value for money or very filling. The tuna panini was much better value.Iced coffee also served in a very small glass.Sorry,disappointing.

Visit here from time to time for a coffee which is ok although I think it is a little expensive. We visited with family recently for lunch and had to sit in the front part of the cafe which I really have to say is not a comfortable place for lunch. I think over the years it is now ready... More

Great breakfasts, fabby coffee, friendly and prompt service as well as being a very accommodating place with a good selection of vegetarian options. Your upstairs space is wonderfully lit - thank you so much for allowing us to finish our Duke of Edinburgh Expedition with you! Definitely the best place in town - will be back to sample the rest... From the area but hadn’t visited this restaurant until a couple of weeks ago, been back several times since over the lunchtime period. Nice decor/seating (I prefer it downstairs by the door where it’s more airy), friendly staff and free stable wifi. Very efficient service, it's about 10-15 minutes from ordering to getting a burger over the lunchtime. I’ve eaten... More

Possibly the best burger I have ever had for the price, massive, perfectly cooked and succulent. My blind dog and were treated understanding, humour and a smile!

Fantastic burger in great surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will certainly be telling our friends about the meal - design your own burger, select the sides you want and sit back and enjoy. Well done Number 18
