'Gourmet Burger' deserves its name

Congratulations to whoever came up with the new burger menu in the evening at Number 18. We have been twice since it opened and would highly recommend it. Have tried the normal burger (with added blue cheese), the lamb burger, the hoisin duck sandwich and the pulled pork. All excellent. Really love the formula of chose a burger, chose toppings,... Had trouble finding somewhere to eat on a busy Bank Holiday in Crickhowell, until we found this place. The menu was varied and reasonably priced and the food was cooked in an open kitchen in the downstairs seating area. The food was delicious, I had a lamb burger with home made mint sauce and some homemade chips. Having been told... More

Just been into Number 18 again today and enjoyed pea and mint soup with a great loose leaf earl grey tea. I love the teapots here which are creative and steep the tea wonderfully. It was pretty busy and people were hunting for tables.... Also good to get the free wifi. Service always quick and pleasant.

Crickhowell is a small historic town surrounded by the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons and in the little Main Street is No 18..... Warm welcome, interesting menu, relaxing atmosphere and a peak into the kitchen if one is seated downstairs in the light airy room.... I had Spinach and Fresh Green Herb Risotto and my daughter had the chicken burger... More

Coffee and cake nice. Food very average and not value for money. Very expensive for what you get. The tuna panini contains about 2 teaspoons of tuna. Very disappointing.
