Good place to meet for coffee

Friendly central village location with good variety of coffees and home-made goodies. It's always fairly full, and there are always the regulars as well as visitors. The previous PM visited a few years ago...

We were delighted to discover that Number 18 Cafe in Crickhowell was opening again in the evenings for food with a new menu. What a treat was in store! Fabulous looking beautifully cooked food. These are no ordinary burgers! Fresh locally sourced ingredients, excellent buns from the local bakery, chargrilled chicken, sweet pulled pork and the Black mountain beef special were delicious... Coffee and cake nice. Food very average and not value for money. Very expensive for what you get. The tuna panini contains about 2 teaspoons of tuna. Very disappointing.

Good value breakfast prepared with love! Vegetarians really well catered for. Lovely glamorgan sausage. Great service, great coffee. Great value. Can't fasult it. Shame we live 300 miles away! But we will be back!

Stopped in here yesterday with a group of Cycling friends and thoroughly enjoyed coffee and a fabulous range of naughty cakes. The staff very really helpful and our stop was "just what the Doctor ordered". Will definitely go back and sample more of the fayre.

Having called in yesterday whilst driving by I was left very disappointed. I ordered an americano and a bowl of cawl. The coffee was regular apparently but the cup was more espresso I'd say. Then came the cawl. Not the hearty meal of my childhood but a small bowl full of finely diced vegitables with 6 minute chunks of lamb.... More

I visited yesterday morning. I was waiting to meet someone and had a cappuccino to start. The coffee tasted burnt and I didn't finish it. When my friend arrived we ordered 2 bacon sandwiches. They arrived without having been cut in half which I thought was an odd way to present the food. The sandwich was very tasty. I risked... More

I was a regular customer until last year when it took 45 mins to produce food ordered. Staff pleasant but ineffectual. I decided to give it another chance last week but was ignored by both members of staff who seemed to prioritise a friend using the cafe wifi and associated iPhone problems. I walked out and got good service and... More
