Very pleasant, light interior with big windows. I opted for scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and a latte. The eggs were overcooked and very pale and appeared to be seasoned with only cracked black pepper. I'm afraid the French are right about this; eggs should be seasoned with salt only. Some butter would have also helped. Bread was fine,... More

My Friend and I stopped here for coffee and cake whilst shopping. It was a very hot day so we sat outside to enjoy a huge piece of amazing carrot cake, very enjoyable. The service was good and very friendly.

We stopped here for a leisurely light afternoon lunch after a walk around the town. No.18 is a bit like the tardis in that it appears larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. We eventually wandered to the back near the food preparation area, arranged ourselves and had coffees and a couple of paninis whilst reading the... More

Great place, sat in the alleyway in the shade, food was excellent, staff really helpful and friendly but not in your face. Definitely go back when in Brecon next October

As the title suggests Number 18 is a great place for lunch. It has a little hidden area downstairs so if it looks busy upstairs, mosey on down. The prices are fair and the staff are VERY friendly. Not sure what the evening meals are like, if they do them, but I would go here again.

When we walked in the cafe we were greeted by friendly staff, but it all went down hill from there on. I ordered the frittata, which looked very plain without salad, which I'm sure should have been included, but anyway this tasted ok. My husband ordered the burger and was asked if he wanted extra bacon and cheese of an... More

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately you received the order for another table who had made various modifications to their meals, asking for no bun on top of their burger and no salad with the frittata. This is not the norm and I can only apologise for the mistakes we made during your visit. We have taken the time to review... More

The only cafe in Wales where they burnt the Welsh cakes and served them in that condition! It is a pleasant enough place and the food looks good, but I could not believe being served burnt Welsh cakes! Unforgiveable!
