I've used the frigate for many a hearty breakfast and it has never failed to satisfy. Nothing negative about the place.
Visiting this resuarant reminded me of Faulty Towers. The waitress did not understand English. The food was substandard and the noise of a singer playing a guitar out of tune and also murdering every song he sangmwas enough toensure that we will definitely not be back. This resturant is grossly overpriced for the standard of its food and service
The food was let down by the service here, but I can't wholly blame the staff - most of them were rushed off their feet and tried to do a good job! The drinks we ordered came but one was wrong - it was replaced, but still wrong!! The food was really lovely and well presented. Coffee arrived without milk... More
The food was fair to average quality, but the surroundings bare, basic and not inviting. The service was pleasant . but we will look elsewhere for Lunch next time we visit Ullapool, probably by studying your list of eating places.

Easing our way through them to a table by the bar, we looked around to establish how things opperated... waitress or bar service? Two women behind the bar were taking orders from who ever push themselves to the front first and I watched as a quiet... More
I ate here several times while attending the Loopallu Festival. It had a decent menu and the staff were really good.....while being run off their feet!
Great atmosphere and nice welcome from the most charming team of staff. Super bowl of soup, but I soon realised I had missed out on the venue's prime attraction - the fantastic pizzas! I saw these stupendous creations arriving at other people's tables, but had not ordered it as I had been put off by the tacky flashing sign outside... More
Visited this restaurant while on a trip to the village of Ullapool. Nice range of freshly prepared food on the menu with wholesome and hearty soup, the ham broth was tasty! The extra mature beef burger was delicious served with homemade coleslaw and fries. Service was efficient and staff courteous and at under £20 the meal for my wife and... More
We have eaten in this cafe onset occasions. Coffee is good. Strawberry tarts are excellent if your lucky enough to get one! They go fast! My favourite is the Brie and cranberry toastie. Served with potato crisps and salad lovely! Also as the frigate is on shore street it's nice to sit and enjoy your food whilst watching the harbour... More
dirty toilets, over priced, under staffed, poor service.the outside seating area is on a very busy pavement, with very little room for people to get past (surely illegal).the toilets stank, the staff are very unwelcoming, frankly i would not bother visiting again.
