Stopped in for lunch on a recommendation from a friend. Food was fresh and tasty and they have a local ale on tap. There is some outdoor seating if the weather is dry. A little on the pricey side but justified by the quality of the food.

We enjoyed our meal here. The chowder was terrific! The prices are mid-range and the food rises to the occasion, but the one or two of the young staff seemed a bit sulky and the service didn't seem very personal.

Had a lovely evening meal here. Nice atmosphere and friendly and knowledgeable staff. There is a good choice on the menu, especially seafood and a very extensive wine range.

Just had breakfast and waitress spills both coffees, no apology just napkins handed to us. Service polite but management seriously need to train people in customer service. Take the cup back, clean the mess and apologies for the inconvenience!

We have been eating here since 1974 and have always enjoyed our meals. This time we had mussels and they were simply gorgeous. The food is sourced from locality where possible. The staff are very helpful. Definitely recommend it as well the lovely town and area.

We enjoyed drinks and dinner here. The food was good and the wait staff, while young, inexperienced adventurers, were friendly and engaging.

The food was excellent including local seafood. The hot smoked salmon was especially delicious. The service was prompt and friendly and we thought it was good value for such a high quality meal. Add to that a busy little bar, a very well stocked book shop and an outside terrace when the weather is pleasant and this would be very hard... More

Great little place, located next to a fabulous bookshop. Good choice of well prepared food in the menu and friendly staff. Pulled pork gap not as good as the one in The Old Bridge at Aviemore though!
