After a climb up Suilven and a night in a mountain bothy, the coffee and cake were excellent. With an excellent bookshop as part of the place, this is a great stop. We will be back.

Our B&B host recommended the place, so we took the trouble to find it although for strangers in town that was a bit of a challenge. Glad we did find it. It is a rather unique large dining room, with, as I recall, a bar at one end and a bookstore near the entrance. We peeked around a bit in... More

A really great place within easy reach of the town. Always head here for coffee or lunch when visiting Ullapool. Laid back atmosphere, with a lovely bookshop to browse before or after. Always today's newspapers to read. Good quality home made food, freshly prepared.

Very good place for lunch, traditional food with a highland touch , sandwiches, soups and puddings are just what you need if your experiencing inclement highland weather.

Haven't visited in the evening but lunch was a pleasant experience. Food was fine. Prices were OK. Clientele seemed to be worldwide.

Popped in for a quick lunch. The Haddock Chowder was immense. Large pieces of haddock and home made bread. Great value for money and very tasty. Could be easily missed from the outside and internal not great but the food saves the day. In a word - wonderful

Thought this place was really great - quirky, nice friendly staff, good varied menu which staff could cater to my dietary requirements, and nice, fresh food. They managed to seat us without reservation when they were busy, so we didn't have to wait!

I booked for the restaurant weeks in advance intent on revisiting the place where we had been served the best scallops and fish in general during a previous visit some years before. What a disappointment!! The place is tired to the point of being scruffy,The staff,to put it mildly are poorly trained, flippant? or just rude? When I asked about scallops... More
