Description: The Gallery Cafe is situated above North West Outdoors on West Argyle...
The Gallery Cafe is situated above North West Outdoors on West Argyle Street, Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands. We are open from 9am till 4pm, but during the winter months the kitchen may sometimes close at 3pm to allow us to bake our yummy cakes and scones! We will still be serving teas, coffees, cakes and soup (if there's any left) untill 4pm! Why not come in for a breakfast, soup or just some tea and cake. We offer a range of delicious lunches including oven baked potatoes and tasty panini's! Our cakes are all homemade as is our soup.We are child friendly, there are 2 high chairs and changing facilities, we also have some toys to keep the wee ones occupied whilst the grown-ups enjoy their lunch. We also have a good selection of landscape photographs in our gallery section.

Remember .. customer care

This my third return to this cafe over the past years when travelling up the west coast. I agree with a recent review on the care slipping. The cafe is a large area above an outdoor shop with easy parking on the street area outside. Some nice views out of the windows and local photography in the... read more

We spent nearly thirty pounds on sandwhich was and a full breakfast. The staff serving were not very welcoming and quite rude! When bringing the food over she slapped it down in front of whoever, irregardless of us saying what we had ordered. Then preceded to GLARE at me whilst we are our food??!?!?!? I would not bother going again!!!

Have eaten here several times in the past but this will be the last. The coffee was bearly luke warm and insipid even though I asked for 2 shots of expresso in it.The cakes were also disappointing. A lot of money for very poor quality products

Strange reviews recently made us wary of returning here. We have been regulars every November for over 10 years. Usual great value in the shop downstairs and when we went up to the cafe it was still as wonderful as ever. Warm, clean and with great food. The coffee came in large mugs and was good quality. The bacon roll... More

We used to love visiting here on previous trips to Ullapool but after this visit we will not be back. We had 2 cappuccino's and 1 small chocolate brownie and got a little change back from £8 The cups were small compared what they used to be and coffee was poorer and not a great cappuccino, but the small brownie... Good coffee, nice artwork, upstairs from outdoors outfitters, great wifi access. I spent a couple hours there catching up on correspondence and dealing with a bank issue.

A nice cafe in Ullapool that is set in interesting surroundings, as the space doubles up as a photography gallery. In fact this is a must to visit just for that purpose. The cafe serves a variety of foods, including delicious cheese scones (which I find are pretty hard to come by). Unfortunately, we didn't find the coffee up to... More

Had the full Scottish breakfast and it was very tasty and good quality ingredients! The portion was generous and more of a bloke-sized portion! Well priced for quality food and a very nice place to sit with views of the town from the window seats and lovely photographs of the Highlands inside! Worth more than one visit!
