Good wholesome food

The restaurant entrance at the hotel is a bit off putting and looks like some 70's cafeteria. However the staff are great, the food is good and the general ambience lovely. Give it a try!

Had dinner here. They tried, but it wasn't a wonderful meal. Fish dish way too salty, requested water and condiments didn't arrive until asked for again, other dishes pretty average at best. Salad was nice. Overall not terrible, but not great either.

This hotel is located in the town centre of Ullapool and has parking facilities at the rear. It is ideally located for those touring the HIghlands of Scotland or catching the ferry to the Western Isles. The rooms have all of the basic equipment but there are no frills. Breakfast is good with fresh fish on offer sometimes and the... More

Came here after being refused elsewhere due to having a dog. Small selection of food at lunchtime but that food is very good. Good selection of specialist ciders and real fire was most welcome. Good place recommended, and dog friendly.

I cannot believe how much we paid for our rooms and the service we got in return! We booked a family Room and a double, the rooms were dirty and dust was on every surface. Went to open the window and the handle fell off?! The communal bathroom was okay, toilet was always dirty? Are we supposed to clean up... More

Firstly I would just like to say I'm local to the village and on a last min wim to come visit friends for the night with our wee dog, I asked the bar man Neil do you still have your double room available that was on booking.com an hour ago? To be told NO! So I asked why is your... More

We're told on phone that we could eat in the bar which we wanted to do because there was music on later. It also said on the web that they had a wide range of beers and cider on tap. They only had a few beers and no cider on tap this is one of the reasons we booked a... More

Went for a pint with a mate for his birthday and wished we hadn't bothered! the barman was a right miserable old git and unfriendly (I later found out his Nickname is "the weasel" quite fitting really) I won't be back!

Great food, Glad I did not have a starter as main course was huge. Sadly to say no dessert either. Good choices. Left room for casked conditioned ale though. Friendly service and advice. Entertainment nights - varied. Dogs welcomed.
