Wonderful food for a special occassion

My husband took me here for my 60th birthday. The food was wonderful. The best meal I have ever eaten in a restaurant. There is not a lot of choice, but the food is cooked to perfection and lovely little samplers in between courses. They also made me a lovley chocolate birthday cake. Went home... read more

This really is a lovely place, nice and small with a menu to match. There may not be a massive menu but the choices are all mouth watering and its difficult to choose. We wanted them all. A good wine list, lovely wines, reasonable prices. We had four courses and every one was a delight, as lovely as the last.... More

Came for a midweek birthday lunch. Delightful welcome and service throughout. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Reasonably priced and accompanied by a superb wine list. La Potiniere deserves all the plaudits it has received.

We enjoyed yet another delightful meal here. The menu consists of two choices per course and I could have happily chosen everything! Excellent, well-presented food, perfect portions, professional and relaxed service. I only wish we lived nearer...

I've written about La Potiniere before and I'm running out of superlatives, and, it seems, I'n not on my own. Just go - Keith and Mary are not chefs to miss! Incredible food!

It may look like a quaint village Hall from the outside but don't let that fool you, the food could be straight out of a 5 star Hotel in any major city in the world. The attention to detail is immediately obvious and the care taken to select the right ingredients is apparent from the first bite. If you're ever... More

My wife and I were celebrating a birthday with two friends and we treated ourselves to dinner at la Potiniere. Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, nice welcome and unobtrusive expert service. Worth every penny. Definitely going back.

The lunch menu, at first glance, is not awe-inspiring, seeming to settle for safe options given there are just two choices of starter, mains and dessert. The awe began soon enough, though, with fresh-baked bread....cheese & cumin and fennel & sultana while we enjoyed pre-meal drinks. My husband allowed me to order and then ordered for himself the other option... More

First visit to this restaurant. It came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Food was delicious and lovingly prepared. Every element carefully presented and the service was personal and informative. Can not wait to return.

Arrived slightly late for our table at 1pm but welcome still friendly and warm. The restaurant was quiet, there was only one other couple. The menu is limited (2 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts & cheese) however they check dietary requirements when you book & this ensures the food is fresh & seasonal. I am pescetarian but the starters were... More
