Amazing food and environment!

By far one of the best meals I have ever eaten! The local food was excellent as well as the local that situate themselves near the bar area.

I have dinned here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The Cobble is a family friendly place to eat. The choice and quality of the food is consistenly good. The food is fresh and of good quality with ample portion sizes.

Popped in for lunch today 'solo' while my better half ate at Floors Castle with her pal. Had a great Aberdeen Angus burger. Really good homemade burger and great chips and coleslaw. Great service - relaxed, friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back next time we come up to Kelso. Hope to try a dessert next time too!

We were visiting Kelso for the day and wanted a meal at lunchtime. Looked around and came across The Cobbles. Walked in and the greeting was warm, friendly and welcoming. Lovely menu mixture of home cooked and a large carte food. We had a fabulous meal with excellent service and quality food. Will certainly go back again and have no... More

Good straightforward pub food in a pleasant environment with good choice of beers and wine. Lovely steaks and interesting desserts with reasonable variety at fair prices. Good location just off town square. Pleasant service without being too obtrusive.

My wife and I had spent a long weekend in Northumberland and decided to travel home via Kelso. We found the Cobbles and decided to give it a try. There were quite a few people in the restaurant, encouraging. We were shown to a table by a very pleasant young lady who was very helpful in assisting us make our... More

Dear Rodmack1944 We are very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your lunch with us on Monday. I can tell you the reason for your Cullin Skink being "flavourless" was that on this occasion the haddock was smoked in-house rather than at a smokehouse therefore giving a much milder flavour. I would agree that house-smoking fish is fine... More

Arrived late one Sunday afternoon - nothing was too much trouble. Excellent roast beef and enormous Yorkshire puds! This was especially welcome as we had been on a long hike and had worked up an appetite! Thank you very much.

While on holiday in Seahouses, I looked at TA reviews prior to a drive out to Kelso. Decided to give The Cobbles ago being dog friendly and great reviews. We had to sit in the bar, fair enough because of the dog, although the restaurant end looked very nice, the bar was nice enough. The steak and ale pie was... More

Good food...Having left the "Contented Vine" without any lunch due to the appalling service, we went to the Cobbles...THIS WAS A FANTASTIC MOVE...good food, quick service...I recommend the beetroot salmon (starter), something different and beautiful. Worth a visit
