We ate outside as the weather was lovely but our table was almost touching a dustbin on the side of which Was a notice asking for dog mess to be placed in it. The service was quite good, the poor waitress was running between tables and we assumed they were short staffed. My pie was delicious but the caramelised vegetables... More

You know that feeling when at the height of the lunch hour and the place you have chosen is completely empty !! except for the lonely chap sipping on a pint at the end of the bar and then the staff welcome you as if you are going to rescue them from a deserted island , well that is what... More

Dear David We are in receipt of your above review and regard it with mixed feelings! It was indeed a quiet day on Monday; just 18 lunch covers compared to the previous week's 35. We put that down to the fact that the Easter holiday break has just finished and most people were just back at school / work. If... More

We visited at lunchtime and ate in the bar. We were grateful to be able to have our well behaved dog with us and the offer of a drink of water for him. We had different meals all of which were delicious though we were surprised to have to ask for the anchovies which had been forgotten from the Cesar... More

Booked The Cobbles for my daughters wedding reception over the phone as we lived over 130 miles away. The manageress was very helpful with emails about the menu etc.We had a delicious buffet upstairs in a private room. The staff were very courteous and on hand for our every need. I would highly recommend a visit.

Every Easter for the past few years we've gone to Kelso and one treat in our week is a trip to Cobbles for a lovely meal. Always found it to be really good value. The service is good and the food excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Went here with my husband and in-laws who are huge foodies, they loved it! We had steak which is locally sourced, absolutely delicious. As a fan of craft beer I was in heaven with their wide choice of their own locally brewed beer. Highly recommended
