This was our third visit to this pub/restaurant. Food is excellent and very reasonable prices. My husband thinks the locally brewed beer is the best he has tasted for a long time. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We only visit at lunchtime because we live 20 miles away. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Kelso.

The Cobbles is a top spot. Great menu; good wine list; top staff and good value. Best to book as it gets very busy. Dogs welcome in the bar area.

Service was very efficient lovely friendly girl. The menu was varied and specials interesting. I had the pheasant and apricot sausage toad in the hole. My husband had the steak pie. The chips with his pie were fantastic in fact I pinched quite a few from his plate. The portions were xxl the only draw back was we could not... More

Four of us went for dinner on Friday Folk night. The food was OK but not spectacular but the Folk music session was great and the Ale was to die for Do not expect fine dining

We'd popped in for a beer a few times but not to sample the food. The menu was refreshingly different and the food was delicious, well presented and friendly efficient service. We'll definitely be back.

Popped in for what we thought was pub grub, what a lovely surprise! Decor done very tastefully, different menus offering different levels of pricing, all affordable. Our meal was delicious along with great service, would definitely recommend.

Popped in for a beer - Tempest Unforgiven on offer, one pint led to another - fine beer. Decided to have a bar meal, delicious burger quality meat and trimmings. Pleasant knowledgeable staff, a good experience overall.

Most of the food is very good and the chef is quite skilled but has a few lapses and some food combinations don't quite work. Beetroot smoked salmon (not enough) is served amongst other things with a delicious beetroot sorbet, but this overpowers the fish. Delicious plate of various lamb cuts. Excellent poppy seed cake with white chocolate parfait. My... More
