This pub serves excellent food, some friends and myself went there for Sunday Lunch and can honestly say it's the best Sunday Lunch I have ever had! Service was very good and prices very reasonable. Had a few drinks in the bar afterwards in front of a roaring fire, heaven for a cold Sunday afternoon.

Hidden away behind the beautiful town square in Kelso this cosy little place serves a great selection of beers, my choice today is Long White Cloud, a rich but still refreshing IPA from NZ. I don't know where they found their chef but they need to make sure they never let him go!

We popped in for a.drink after having been severely disappointed at another bar. This more than made up for it. Great friendly atmosphere and felt at home even though we were relative strangers

We enjoyed some excellent ale from the Tempest Brewery (just up the road) and then were shown to our prebooked (essential at weekends) table. The restaurant was very busy but had a good atmosphere. The menue was not too long (a good sign) and we both chose the 5oz steaks with the beef coming from a local farm. The flavour was... More

We booked for New Years Day as we were staying in a holiday cottage up the road (Stichil Mains) The owners recommended it to us and we loved it, we were a group of 8 adults and 5 children. The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly and the food was delicious and at a fair price. I would recommend The... More
