this place was recommended by the proprietor of the guest house we're staying at, my advice would be to make sure that you are hungry when you go. the portions are huge. I had the cullen skink which was lovely followed by the cajun chicken burger, I'm a bit of glutton when it comes to food but I struggled to... More

Called in for a quick drink while spending an afternoon in Kelso. What a find! The barmaid Martina was an excellent font of knowledge on the beers on offer and what a choice. It was so difficult to choose just one so we just had to buy some bottles to take back with us. Haven't given 5 stars as we... More

Great pub for local beers, very friendly and a great atmosphere in the bar. Seating outside to enjoy your pint if it's a nice day. Good selection of meals which are always cooked well and a fab Sunday lunch with all the trimmings.

Roast beef was so rare and chewy (blood running on one slice) , veg was under cooked with a hint of cheese sauce on cauliflower. Yorkshire pudding was over cooked and dry.Whiskey sauce on starter not right... More

I did an Internet search for somewhere to eat in Kelso and The Cobbles appeared accompanied by good reviews. Based on this we decided to eat there and were not disappointed at all, excellent food, excellent service and very pleasant surroundings. My mother was impressed with the food and that's no mean feat!!! Would definitely eat there again when next... More

Visited here last Sunday night with friends and very disappointed. Had mushroom soup which I love but it was so thick I couldn't eat it. Got Roast ham dinner. The yorkie was burned black, the ham was over cooked and would not cut and the roast potatoes were reheated! My husband had roast beef and the shames as above with... More
