Popped in for lunch yesterday and had a two minute wait for our table to be cleared. We ordered our drinks which arrived soon after. Then we ordered food, I had haddock in oatmeal which was absolutely lovely. Cooked to perfection. The waiting staff were really nice, even though they did appear very busy! I think the Cobbles have maybe... More

We had been away for a few days holiday in Northumberland and had experienced excellent meals (Doxford Hall,The White Swan) and those which were poor -The Pack Horse Inn, Ellingham). We decided to stop off en route at the Cobbles in Kelso. A delightful experience- great food, an accommodating chief and professional service. We have visited on 3 previous occasions... More

So glad we've found this perfect spot; the warmest welcomes each time we've visited, friendly and attentive staff and always something different with some unique twists on familiar foods. Many thanks to all involved in creating this special experience.

Super little Pub/ Restaurant tucked away just off the cobbled main Square in this historic Market town. Has Pub menu and Dining room menu - great atmosphere in either - not overpriced for the quality - and enjoyed by locals too (of which I'm one!).

We went there just two days after Hogmanay and although there were a few items 'not on the menu' - not surprising as they had only just re-opened after the break, what was available was very good food indeed. For main courses we had the fish, Thai (turkey) curry and a steak - all excellent and no room left for... More

The food is consistently yummy, and the wee lassies serving are charming, as are Mikael and David, who i guess you would call the supervisors. The bar area is very cosy and still feels like a country pub of yore; proper beer 9although still served a tad too cold), a real fire and lots of blether. One of the few... More

Went there yesterday for lunch. Was simple and great. Waitresses were very nice, food was very good. 6 adults and a toddler were very happy after a meal there! :)

In the lead up to Xmas I invited by sister, husband and 2 daughters for lunch @ The Cobbles on 17th Dec. They hadn't visited the restaurant before - I have, several times. One of my guests was a Vegan with quite demanding requirements - I'd mentioned it when booking and was assured the chef could cater very well for... More

Dear Pat We are very disappointed to read your negative review of our restaurant. I do not know of any complaints made on Sunday past so I must presume that you didn't bring your dissatisfaction to the attention of the Serving Staff at the time. This is a shame because you didn't give us the opportunity to serve you a... More
