Ideal stoppping point while travelling through Glen Coe

We stopped off at The Clachaig Inn both on our trip north to Skye and again on the way home. My husband wanted to stop there purely because of the sign at this Inn that says "No Hawkers, No Campbells" (he's a MacDonald!) It was easily reached from the A82 along a single track road and there was... read more

The Clachaig Inn is definitely my favourite place to have my meals while in Glencoe. Chef Davie is an uncredible guy: the food ios delicious! Taste everything, starting with the haggis! The board of whisky makes you smile! :) Just go there...

I have spent many a post walk/climb in this pub and would have recommended it to friends and family. However, in a recent trip, I had to send food back because it was frozen in the middle, only to be told by staff that the microwave was playing up. I didn't let it ruin my previously high opinion however and... More

Having been a few times before when visiting the area this place was still a must visit to take my friends to on a recent mountain holiday. Beautiful open fires and the brilliant jovial bar staff make for what could be an awesome atmosphere when it's a little busier. Being super early in the winter season meant it was pretty... More

Visited here every winter season I've been up there and it has never failed to disappoint. In a perfect location for climbers and walkers, great food and an excellent atmosphere, especially in February! If you've ever climbed or have aspirations to climb in the west highlands it really is a must visit.

Visited this establishment many times during the 90s. Came in here on the way to Fort William with the family. Same Ice Axe door handle took me right back. The layout was as before and the drinks and snacks as tasty as ever. Good to see that standards have not slipped. I peeked into the walkers bar at the back... More

I was in Glencoe for a training course and heard the Clachaig has its Christmas Party on whilst I was in the area. A quick email confirmed it didn't matter that I was on my own rather than in a group. The night in question was a really good evening, I was set on a table with some lovely people... More

The staff were very welcoming and were very accommodating to our very wet children and dog. Great ale and nice food. Rented the cottage they have in Ballachulish, Absolutely fantastic.

Having read reviews on trip advisor my wife and I headed here for a relaxing afternoon......set in the heart of Glencoe mountain range....away from any main roads we weren't disappointed......Haggis Broth and Crusty bread, absolutely delicious! I wasn't sure which local beer to try so the very friendly female behind the bar talked me through the different tastes and offered... More

The Inn is located a couple of meals outside Glencoe village and can be extremely busy, we were lucky to get a table immediately but noticed people having to wait 30-40 mins for a table. Food is typical pub grub but delicious and reasonably priced but be aware the portions were huge.
