Great atmosphere

This was return visit for me and equally enjoyable as before. Accommodation a bit basic but perfectly adequate but it's the characterful ski lodge style bar with excellent ales that keeps me coming back. The menu has improved since last time and was very enjoyable after an energetic day's... read more

Good food and great craic when theres music on. Wide selection of beers from Scotland! Has a hunting lodge feel to it which I love. Staff are excellent.

Good food, good ales. Wine list is "wee bottles" of so-so looking wine. Wee bottles are single serving bottles. Ale list shrunk during our two nights eating at the inn--not sure if there was insufficient staff to change the keg or they were literally out of that brew. There are two different pubs--one is darker and seems to be frequented... More

A former favourite of ours has gone down the pan! We made a special trip there to stop for lunch only to be thoroughly disappointed by the food and cleanliness of the bar and toilets. The bar was completely empty, which seemed unusual, and the music was far too loud. We ordered a Brie starter and a burger. When it... More

My partner and I were stopping through Glencoe and we had a magical experience dining at the boot bar here. Loved the atmosphere, and the veggie haggis was delicious. Cozy vibes.

We had walked to the top of the 716m Pap of Glencoe and needed a "reward". (Beautiful view from the Pap by the way; well worth the effort for the fit walker). Disappointed that our first choice, the haddock, was unavailable we went for the salmon with a slightly crumbed oat crust, on a bed of cajun jambalaya rice. Disappointment... More

First time at this place, it is well maintained, nice decor, toilets are clean, and its an enjoyable place to be to chill out, enjoy a quality meal in a friendly atmosphere. Would certainly pay it another visit.

I found myself here on a 7-day Haggis bus tour from the Highlands on the way back to Edinburgh, and I quite enjoyed the stopover. So when I returned 4 years later on a day trip with a hostel out of Oban, it was a quite pleasant return and felt nice to have more time with a more flexible tour.... More

Have been here a few times and we always like to come back. It's a busy place so the staff do a great job and are nice and friendly. The re-furbished lounge is very nice, I love it but I still prefer eating in the Boot bar especially after a day in the mountains! You feel you deserve a beer... More
