Adequate but uninspiring

We cut short our visit to The Abbey as we wanted to view they swum before it closed but 10-15mins was sufficient and the displays upstairs I. The Abbey, there really was little left for the museum. 10/10 for The Abbey but only 6/10 for the museum itself.

nice little place - poor service, poor food, poor coffee. Nice setting, nice feel in the cramped shop.

There are plenty of places to eat and drink in Lacock. Give this one a wide berth. We wanted to eat in. There was a table and chairs at the front of the premises. We ordered a couple of pasties and tea, saying that we wanted to "eat-in". The pasties came in bags. No offer of even a paper plate... More

I stop here regularly for fresh bread and the odd cake. Worth a visit even if it just for a look in the shop. Cant comment on the café but would imagine the same standard.

I think this place is a bit confusing. There is one large table so that you can eat in, (would be better if they had three two seater bistro tables). The lady serving looked at me as though I had sworn at her when asking for proper crockery. Everything was in paper cups and our cakes were wrapped in cello... More

We visited this tea room late afternoon. Expecting to receive the cream tea experience ..... How wrong was I!!!!! Tea came in a cardboard cup and the scones came in a take away bag with a knife and a small packet of Bookers butter!!!! No cream, no Jam and No China cups!!!!! Definitely 'Greggs' on the expensive side. Forgot to... More

Having travelled from South Wales on a cold January Sunday morning, we were pleasantly surprised to find this place open for much-needed coffee and hot snacks: bacon/cheese turnover, pasty and their own crumpets. The only downside was the coffee served in paper cups. The place is a bakery cum shop cum café; the only place to sit down is a... More

We were fortunate to have a cup of tea and a tasty pasty sat at the one table in this bakery: really it's a bakery shop selling food to take away but the friendly lady behind the counter was happy to serve us a drink as long as the two chairs were free.

As we were walking thru the village, we came across the Lacock Bakery. We were curious and went in to check the place out. Such a quaint and traditional bakery. The staff were dressed like the olden times. We thought of trying out their ice cream. The server was very nice and even posed for a picture. I enjoyed my... More

Just arrived in time to order afternoon tea and cake. Friendly staff and a great choice of cakes to please all tastes.
