Walked around the village of Lacock and decided to pop into the 'bakery' for fresh bread, perhaps a fresh sandwich and a cuppa. We were met with a horrible cup of tea / coffee and a headed up pasty. If you have ever heated up a pasty in the microwave you will know what I mean when I say floppy.... More

I bought a loaf of bread. It was dry and heavy and tasted stale. The cakes looked delicious and were expensiv but also stale and dry. It was very disappointing. The sausage roll was £2.25 but think they were purchased from Greggs! Very disappointing as all looked so fantastic. I will be back - I will go to Greggs!!

Terrible food . It all looked lovely, but the pasties and cakes were all stale and inedible. Just wasted £10

I enjoyed the quaint character of this shop. I liked the dress attire of the staff, who looked Victorian. I bought a very tasty cheese scone here. A short but pleasant shopping experience.

Lots and lots of jams and chutneys etc on sale as well as local eggs, duck and hen. Small range of pastries on sale, all noted on the blackboard giving the impression that these change regularly? Really nice looking range of cakes - looked fabulous and all were generous sizes. The seated area is just one kitchen table so you... More

Oh dear, so awful. I bought two jars of jam with wrong apostrophe on the label. A cottage loaf which is truly terrible. Absolutely stale and inedible. If you are going to serve tourists while wearing your frilly mob caps, on a Sunday please make sure you do not serve stale loaves to customers. Our hens will not eat it... More

Always visiting lacock just for the bakery. Was disappointed with visit today , only one member of staff, had to wait again to ask for food to be reheated as was served cold. It would be good to have more seating outside to enjoy the food.

Got some dessert here after a pub lunch. The coffee and walnut cake was very nice. The pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart) was DELICIOUS.

This is a tourist town. We would have thought service with a smile was standard, but not so at the bakery. The girls serving were unfriendly and didn't seem to know better. Perhaps training in how to make customers feel welcome would be useful -- and by way of motivating the staff, perhaps explain that the money tourists spend in... More
