Not Pleasant

I think this place is a bit confusing. There is one large table so that you can eat in, (would be better if they had three two seater bistro tables). The lady serving looked at me as though I had sworn at her when asking for proper crockery. Everything was in paper cups and our cakes were wrapped... read more

We visited this tea room late afternoon. Expecting to receive the cream tea experience ..... How wrong was I!!!!! Tea came in a cardboard cup and the scones came in a take away bag with a knife and a small packet of Bookers butter!!!! No cream, no Jam and No China cups!!!!! Definitely 'Greggs' on the expensive side. Forgot to... More

Having travelled from South Wales on a cold January Sunday morning, we were pleasantly surprised to find this place open for much-needed coffee and hot snacks: bacon/cheese turnover, pasty and their own crumpets. The only downside was the coffee served in paper cups. The place is a bakery cum shop cum café; the only place to sit down is a... More

We were fortunate to have a cup of tea and a tasty pasty sat at the one table in this bakery: really it's a bakery shop selling food to take away but the friendly lady behind the counter was happy to serve us a drink as long as the two chairs were free.

As we were walking thru the village, we came across the Lacock Bakery. We were curious and went in to check the place out. Such a quaint and traditional bakery. The staff were dressed like the olden times. We thought of trying out their ice cream. The server was very nice and even posed for a picture. I enjoyed my... More

Just arrived in time to order afternoon tea and cake. Friendly staff and a great choice of cakes to please all tastes.

A microwaved sweaty pasty, weak coffee, grumpy service and a general unwelcoming atmosphere guarantee that my next visit to Lacock will involve taking my own refreshments. The place looked quaint and promising but failed on every level.

I have eaten here a couple of times now. The service is always friendly and the food is fresh and delicious. Much cheaper than other shops in the village.

Often whizz in here after a long walk with doggies for a take away coffee and some bread for lunch . They are always super sweet and make me feel welcome . It's never a problem to take doggies in while waiting to be served.

A very good local Bakery with Traditional goods wonderful bread [we bought far too much ] but didn't regret it, the cakes were the type from childhood and didn't disappoint . Just wish it was a bit nearer to home.
