Plenty of parking, very friendly staff, great food and large menu to suit everyone. Just a couple of minutes outside the village of Lacock.

My friend and I went for a meal at the Bell last Wednesday. We were left disappointed as this pub has a good reputation. I ordered ham egg and chips which consisted of two small eggs, a couple of thin, nondescript slices of ham and a portion of peas. My friend ordered a 10 oz Sirloin Steak which looked more... More

We initially enjoyed a nice meal on a Sunday evening with 2 friends, and were so impressed by the warm hospitality, friendly helpful staff that we returned the following evening for more of the same. The food was super, good portions, so if you're wondering about where to eat in the Lacock area then this is the place!

Four of us went to The Bell today for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, the meals were superbly cooked and well presented. The service was great although this was a quiet day. We all thought the cost was reasonable for the quality of food provided so what more can one ask. On today's performance we will certainly be... More

My wife and I ran "A" Bell Inn in North Wiltshire a couple of years ago and our friends had also run a country pub in Wiltshire so we know what its like and how to do it, or rather not. On arrival we let them know we were there and were going to have a drink in the sunny... More

I organised a car run which stopped at The Bell for lunch. I had booked for 24 people and everyone had the Sunday roast. Everyone commented how good it was both quality and quantity was excellent. Even the most critical amongst us said how much he enjoyed it. We were made most welcome, we were well looked after and well... More

After eating at the Bell on Friday night I would certainly not recommend it either for its food, service or ambiance. On booking the staff were very helpful but sadly we were very disappointed As on arrival we had to wait at the bar for some time before anyone acknowledged us - not even a " good evening" before eventually being... We were looking for somewhere nice to have my birthday meal. Having trawled our memories, and the bookmarks on my PC, we were still in a dither. As we were wanting to visit Bowood Rhododendron Gardens (near Calne, Wiltshire) after lunch, we Googled restaurants in the area. The Bell Inn menus looked good and featured a wide variety of dishes.... More

We were taking part in a walk organised by the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust and arrived at this pub along with many other walkers for a quick lunch before doing the return leg. The pub was very busy but there were three staff behind the bar and the chap who served me was polite and friendly. (A good choice... More

Staying in the area for 2 nights we thought we would try The Bell. What a find! The food was excellent. There was a great choice and it was all beautifully cooked and served quickly even though the restaurant was busy. The staff were fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to eat there again if we are nearby.
