We had an evening meal at the restaurant. The management and staff were very disorganised generally. Also, our daughter has a milk intolerance (the most common intolerance in children, and usually easily dealt with by restaurants - we eat out frequently). The manageress began our evening by saying (publically) we would have had better service if we'd 'phoned ahead to... More

We do apologise that despite our best efforts we were unable to make you and your family feel welcome here at The Red Lion pub. We take all food intolerances very seriously due to the serious health symptoms that they cause to the individual as we genuinely care about every individual who passes through our doors. We have a very... More

Stopped here for a light evening meal of Tomato and Basil Soup and a tea on the way back home from Bath. Very nice traditional pub with a lovely landlady. The soup was very nice and just what I needed before continuing my drive. They have free WiFi which is always a bonus ...

My wife and I stopped for lunch following recommendations from friends. A very warm welcome awaits guests, this is quickly followed by very helpful staff who are genuinely pleased to see you. Simply put the food has been locally sourced, homemade and excellent. The service quick and attentive with smiles galore and nothing is to much trouble. Book early for... More

We had lunch before going to the abbey. Huge portions (if you are not a big eater, order a smaller one - there is such an option). Fish and chips were well above the average quality. Recommended.

Stopped here for lunch, whilst visiting Lacock! Really efficient and friendly staff. The food was awesome, really really good. Will definitely be back. Not that we took are dog, but often do, it was nice to see doggy biscuits in a jar on the bar.

Stopped in for Sunday lunch with friends which we had booked in advance. The pub was very busy and the staff overwhelmed. Once our order had been finally taken we had a long wait fo rthe food and the lamb shanks arrived tough and raw. We were so fed up with waiting that we didn't bother to complain.

Thank-you for your review however I am very concerned as to when you actually ate here at the Red Lion, Lacock and therefore to which date this review is aimed at. We do not offer lamb shanks on our Sunday menu we offer Roast breast of Turkey, Topside beef and leg of lamb roasts. All of our meat is sourced... More

A large group of us descended on the Red Lion one evening, we hadn't booked but it was fairly quiet. They didn't rush us to order as we were waiting for more people. The food was very good indeed, nobody had a bad word to say, although the beers were a bit hit and miss and we did try quite... More

We dived into the Red Lion on Bank Holiday Monday to get out of the rain and have a quick beer and ended up staying for 3 hours! This place has improved so much-the beer was good and there was live music which was really entertaining! We had a lovely lunch which was good quality at a fair price! But... More

We had been visiting the Abbey and decided to have a spot of lunch, so we plumped for the Red Lion in Lacock Village, a very good choice. Service was good, Food was good and the beer was good what more do you want from a pub lunch. Will definitely return.
