Stunning Elizabethan building with great service and food to match

Treated my wife to a weekend for her birthday. Lovely atmosphere with great service and food. Superb local walks and coffee shops to die for in the village. Spa worth a visit but book in advance. Gym needs updating. Great place for a weekend relaxing. Very very attentive staff. Enjoy.

One of the best places in the area to go for a special night out. The a la carte is good but I'd really recommend going for the tasting menu. Every time we've had it it has been great. We just get one 'flight' of wine between us, plus an extra glass or two.

Nestled in the small village of Cuckfield (pronounced 'cookfield') is Ockenden Manor, a great place to go and eat for lunch or dinner and stay the night if you're feeling like being pampered. The rooms are moderately sized and there is a modern spa facility just across the car park with all the amenities and treatments on offer you would... More

My husband and I enjoyed a delightful meal here to celebrate Valentine's Day. This is one of the best restaurants near to us, so our expectations were reasonably high. We were not disappointed. We were greeted at the door and enjoyed a glass of champagne in the comfortable lounge while we made our menu choices. The pan-fried foie gras was... More

I took my husband for a lunch service for his birthday. The food was once again excellent, from starter to dessert. And the wine was perfect. The service was top as always. We both left a very happy couple. Thank you again!

Having eaten here on many occasions I have found the food to be very hit & miss ! My last experience was on Friday 23 January 2015 . Going off my past experiences I thought I would choose wisely ( something I thought was a guaranteed flavoursome choice ) A friend also orderd exactly the same things by coincidence .... More

I really think bland sums up the starters and mains that we had, three out of four people agreed on this!! Tasteless oysters served with thick dry pasta, seasoning was missing in action!!! Really fancied the cod in a masala sauce, no spices detected at all, again BLAND is the only word to describe this food, not just me but... More

Been there a few times. Delicious food, great service and beautiful decor. They have a spa next-door. Only downside was that we were unable to have coffee in the lounge as it was full.

We had the 5 course tasting menu. We liked the venison very much and this stood out. The home cooked ravioli was also very nice. A yoghurt dish was quite bland.

Lovely food, scallops were gorgeous. Free extras from the Chef helped make it special. Service was patronising when we picked up on being overcharged for our wine. Humble pie came later. Each course was excellent. Would recommend.
