I have enjoyed a number of memorable meals here. The menu and wine list is staggeringly good. The service is second to none. Expect the price to reflect this level of excellence.

A beautiful setting, charming staff and stunning food. Fine dining in an English country hotel. Perfection.

We came here for our anniversary and the meal was without fault. Beautiful duck, venison and pigeon. All of my favourite items on one menu cooked beautifully. Service was discrete and attentive. Faultless. Wine was great and good value. Can only be described as perfect. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Food = superb Service = Impeccable It's difficult to find things to say when the experience is so good. Everything carried out to a first class standard for a low-key Monday lunch to celebrate a birthday so there is certainly no 'foot of the pedal' when it's not a full-on dinner visit. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed for a one night midweek break, including dinner and chose to pay a little extra to enjoy the 8 course tasting menu. It was the best meal we have ever had - each dish beautifully presented, with extraordinary flavour. Service was prompt but unhurried, with the menu left for us to remind ourselves about each dish. 3 hours... More

Had lunch there Yesterday. The food was poor and the service slow. It is in a lovely setting but not up to Michelin standards

We had a meal on good Friday, as part if a spa package. It was fantastic, food and service were both excellent. It was nice to be in a 2 star Michelin, but the atmosphere was very relaxed and not at all snooty. Couldn't fault anything.

This is such a beautiful restaurant and in a beautiful setting. I went for lunch here and also booked to stay over. The meal itself was to die for... probably one of the best meals I have had. Service as expected was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The room I booked for myself was quaint, uneven rickety floor and... More
