Lovely pub with losts of character. The food menu is good and the service great, don't forget to check the specials board over the fire place, choose from sandwiches to main meals. The beer selection is good. On a good day you can sit outside with fabulous views. The location is great, we'll worth a visit

A great old school pub which serves fantastic food in a great surrounding. The steak and ale pie is a particular highlight. Definitely recommended

We started our evening sat outside with our drinks and the menus. The hanging baskets are beautiful and a credit to the pub. The menu included the usual pub grub with plenty of choice. After choosing a sharing charcuterie platter to start and beer battered cod and chips for our main courses we went in to order at the bar... More

There is a great selection of real ales here and it is on the sea which was lovely. You can sit out the front and overlook the weir.

Just returned from a weekend stay in Porlock Weir, 2 night B&B deal at the Bottom Ship. Saw this advertised when we came for lunch earlier this year, and at £85 for 2 people for 2 nights we thought we'd return for a longer stay. We were not disappointed. There are 3 rooms in the eves of the pub, the... More

There are two Ship Inns in Porlock, the 'Top Ship' in the town at the foot of Porlock Hill, and this one known as 'Bottom Ship' in the unique setting of Porlock Weir. Both owned by the same company I believe. This is a wonderful place to while away a couple of hours, good menu and range of ales, a... More
