Been to both the Top Ship in Porlock & Bottom Ship in Porlock weir and they are both great. I have stayed in the over night accommodation in both and they are lovely with reasonable rates, friendly and helpful staff. Both pubs service a good variety of local ciders and ales well worth a visit!

Lovely pub with equally good food, accommodation pleasant and clean. Great deal 2 nights for £80 including a hearty breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely to be able to take our dog with us in the bar and to stay, would definitely return.

4 of us (plus a little one) arrived here for lunch on Sunday afternoon. We received a very pleasant welcome from all of the staff and were actually offered the overflow room at the back which was great for us as there was plenty of room for a toddler to run around in! Staff were very attentive and whilst I... More

I ordered my food with chips but when the food arrived there was no chips, I was told by one the staff with studs in her lips that I never ordered any? And walked away. Well if that's the sort of rudeness your pub allows I will definitely won't be back.

A little disappointed with reception given to us and more particularly to larger groups coming in after us. Certainly nothing like the reception we received at the Top Ship.

We visited here a couple of weeks ago whilst walking the coast path. The location and pub itself were really great, but although my husband enjoyed his burger, my risotto was pretty awful. Having said that the staff were very friendly and I'm sure if I'd have ordered something else I would have enjoyed it more.

Stopped off for a light lunch - excellent sandwiches with good beer and cider. The four of us each had something different - all were pleased with their choice.

We went here for evening meal and it was really quite busy for the time of year. The menu is fairly small but it had a mixed range and specials board. The staff were friendly. I had a chicken schnitzel with spaghetti Milanese and it was lovely and my partner had cod and chips and it was really lovely with... More

Sister hotel to Ship Inn in Porlock, same beers seem to be on, but menu is different, so worth trying. Nice outdoor area which would be great on summers evening. Not massive inside, and don't take bookings, so pot luck. Car park opposite which states pay 24 hours, but local knowledge seems to be no one pays in the evenings... More

Visited recently with my partner for early dinner, and must say the food was good pub grub, but I am one of the silent minority who believes dogs should not be allowed I to premises where food is being served, I know this is a losing battle, and have to quietly accept this situation, but I do object to dogs...
