Refuelling stop en route to Bossington on SWCP. Great welcome, fast service considering how busy it was, nothing too much trouble for staff, busy with fellow hikers, families and others out for Sunday lunch. Good coffee, great range of ales (doh, it's a pub!) incl St Austell beers on tap! Tasty & good value! (apparently the 'sister pub' The Ship,... More

We popped in for an hour whilst waiting for a bus to Porlock. Lovely coffee and friendly locals. The fire was very welcome. A beautiful inn - do visit.

Had lunch here. Food was excellent and the menu very good for options. The pub was busy but service was still good. Fairly priced food with generous portions. Good selection of beers too. Staff were friendly. Best chips in Somerset surely?

Had a super meal at the Bottom Ship. Great pub food. Good portions. Friendly staff. Good service. Great real ales and good wine selection. Lovely open fire and a super quintessential British pub atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this place.

Stopped here for lunch on a very rainy day. Lovely cozy pub with helpful staff and wholesome serves. Great setting which would be wonderful to explore under better conditions.

Stopped by there one stormy afternoon and were thankful it was open and welcoming to soaking wet ramblers. (Many had dogs). A good selection of real ales and usual lagers etc. The food looked reasonable but were didn't eat on this occasion. The staff assisted with bus times and told us it pulls up outside. We had an hour or... More
