Tasty

We went to Porlock Weir on Sunday and the rain started in force so we popped in for a bit to eat. Having been before we were looking forward to some lunch. We had a cheese ploughman's and a roast. Both were very good, tasty and good portion sizes. My only slight thought is I'd of liked a little... read more

My son and I ate a lunch here.Very little choice on menu that inspired me. I settled for a safe Ham Egg and Chips.Tasteless packet ham and served with a limp and unwanted salad garnish .

We were out and about on a cold winters day, and stumbled across this beautiful pub with its gorgeous open log fire. We sat by the fireside and had a drink. The locals were coming and going with their dogs, very friendly and lovely atmosphere. Would definitely visit again.

This is a busy little pub, but we had a warm welcome & the food was very nice. We would definitely eat here again.

Had a fantastic sunday roast beef lunch along with my family. Everything was cooked to perfection. Well done. Very friendly staff and such a homely feel to this pub, it will certainly be one of our scheduled haunts from now on. Thank you so much.

This is a charming building in a lovely spot. It would be great in summer. But it was winter, and the inside is brightly lit and lacking charm. The one log fire helped a bit. The food was better than we expected, with a good steak, adequate chips and frozen peas. The liver tasted good but was completely overcooked. The... More

Been to both the Top Ship in Porlock & Bottom Ship in Porlock weir and they are both great. I have stayed in the over night accommodation in both and they are lovely with reasonable rates, friendly and helpful staff. Both pubs service a good variety of local ciders and ales well worth a visit!

Lovely pub with equally good food, accommodation pleasant and clean. Great deal 2 nights for £80 including a hearty breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely to be able to take our dog with us in the bar and to stay, would definitely return.
