Porlock Weir is the end of the road ie no passing traffic. The sun was shinning on both days of our stay so the pub called for us to drink cider and lager. So we did. Ice cold. Thanks

Excellent food, very helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful setting. If the weather is fine it is a great place to sit outside in the sunshine and while away a few hours with a few beers. However, be warned that it is very popular and during the summer on a sunny day it can be difficult to find a table outside,... More

We travelled to the Bottom Ship for a meal with family with an elderly relative, the staff were more than helpful at getting us the table we wanted due to the mobility of the elderly family member. The pub was as usual busy and the drinks were good as were the majority of the meals, however first time in my... More

Thank you for you review - I get your point with the Nachos but we clearly state on the menu that they are topped with melted cheddar, sour cream, salsa and jalapeños. This starter/light bite is then able to be used as a vegetarian option. We hope you come back and visit us again. More

The fish and chips under cooked, the batter over cooked and my lasagna was inedible. No sauce, extremely rubbery, dry with a huge amount of cheese thrown on top to make it look moist. We complained to bar staff. There... More

Visit the Bottom Ship every year when in the area. Excellent beers, including 'guest' beers. I have only been at lunch times, but there is a good selection on the menu, from main meals to baguettes and sandwiches. Very good value. Car park opposite. It can get very busy, especially on a sunny day. Well worth the drive down to... More

Good pub grub is available here, and there is a wide variety of beers. Booking is advisable at it is a popular venue with lots happening there.
