We made a trip here after having eaten here a couple of years previously on several occasions however we sat in the back room with tired old sofas that smelled of damp dog The floor was covered in crumbs and the room was cramped with little dingy tables you had to squeeze past to sit down. The sofas were dirty... More

Just to let you know we changed the two blue sofas and two of the tables for new ones about ten days ago: I hope that you visited us before that happened! I can however assure you that the old sofas had never had any dogs on them, wet or otherwise. This room is carpeted and is vacuumed every morning;... More

Visited for late lunch/afternoon tea with family and friends. Tiny unassuming door in alleyway hides a welcoming rabbit warren of little rooms in this sideways on house. As a large group we were ushered through the building into the delightful dining room adorned with antique plates and furniture and a lovely homely feel. Rest assured that although we were not... Really lovely cafe/restaurant. Lots of small rooms, great service, delicious cakes and scones, good coffee and proper tea. Worth going out of your way for.

We were dying for a cuppa at the end of an eleven mile walk up Caer Caradoc and the Lawley, and found this quaint little coffee shop in Church Stretton shortly before closing time. Everyone's individual needs were catered for with a selection of proper loose leaf tea, various coffees, and hot, hot chocolate. The cakes were all home made... More

We wanted a quick coffee and was just walking around the town when we came across this little gem. Excellent menu which persuaded us to go for a light snack with the homemade soup with scone and cheese. The coffee house is very cosy and homely. Good value and great service

after breaking down in our car on the way to Ludlow races we had a couple of hours to kill while waiting for repairs. We went for lunch in this wonderful coffee shop the meal and friendly staff turned a disaster into a lovely afternoon treat. Both our meals were top quality home cooked food and the cakes were just... More

On our annual visit to Church Stretton we always have lunch here. Food is very average but good service. Cottage Pie (or whatever it was I had) was unmemorable except that it was greatly under seasoned. Meal also needed gravy on it to make it less dry. Nice surroundings and helpful staff. Although for some strange reason in this day... More

I'm sorry you were somewhat underwhelmed by your visit. We intentionally under-season dishes on health grounds: one can always add salt, but not take it away. Cottage pie is a relatively dry dish, but as a result of your feedback we now ask customers whether they would like gravy with it, although it will of course be a generic gravy,... More

We have just spent the day walking off our Christmas food in the Cardingmill Valley! After our walk and sandwiches we walked into Church Stretton and found this exquisite little coffee house called Berry s. My husband and I had a hot chocolate and a cup of tea and then had to make a decision as to which slice of... More
