We stumbled across this hidden gem by following the pavement signs down the side lane and thank God we did. The food is simple, home cooked fare and cooked well. I can think of nothing that I can recommend to be improved. All the ingredients are locally sourced, including the real ale. If yu are looking for truly wonderful food... More

Stopped off in Church Stretton to break our journey. By chance came across Berry's. Had the best cheese sandwich I can ever remember eating, just sublime. Good coffee too. My daughter, feckless child, did not want her brownie so I ate some of that. It was top draw. Definitely stopping here again and will consider planning journeys to ensure we... More

Went in for lunch to escape a shower. Friendly reception and a top class ploughman's washed down with a bottle of Dunkerton's cider. What could be better. Produce of the highest quality sourced locally, and generous portions. Must go back to try a farmer's breakfast sometime.

We decided to give Berry's a try for lunch purely based on the menu that was attached to the side wall of the building as we liked the choices and reasonable looking prices. There was nothing to indicate what the place was going to be like until we ventured through the door (tucked away down the side alley). We were... More

We always make sure we visit Berrys when we are in Church Stretton. There is always. Lovely selection on homemade food to choose from and the service is excellent.

This is a lovely tea room/café set in an interesting building with a great little courtyard out the back if it's sunny. The cream teas and home-made cakes are delicious and there is a good selection of drinks too. We didn't try and of the hot food, but what we saw looked good and there was a good selection.

This coffee shop/restaurant gives the impression of being very old-fashioned but, in fact, has a very good grasp of the fact that 'out there' is a large number of people who like to settle down for coffee or a snack in somewhere furnished with second-hand, mismatched furniture reminiscent of an imagined better world but who like to have a good... We stayed 4 days' in Church Stretton and I would have had no trouble eating all my lunches at Berry's - they have a remarkably varied menu, with a long regular menu and a delicious range of daily specials as well as sensational home-made cakes - even the standard things were superbly executed (wonderful welsh rarebit and salads and a... We sat in the small walled garden at the back of the cafe. The food was very nice but the experience was spoiled by the proximity & smell from the loos and the arrival of 2 ladies with 3 very large, and to be honest smelly dogs, half way through our meal. The garden isn't big enough for that many... More

I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to us. We do allow dogs in the courtyard, but it is very rare that there is more than one at a time (if that), and three is extremely unusual. To be honest, I'm not sure that, even if we wanted to, we could justifiably seek to limit the number of dogs... More

We just popped in for a coffee. The waitresses polite, friendly and served us with a smile. Coffee was excellent. What more could you ask for. Surroundings quirky, courtyard lovely on a sunny day. This was our second visit and we will be back.
