This coffee shop/restaurant gives the impression of being very old-fashioned but, in fact, has a very good grasp of the fact that 'out there' is a large number of people who like to settle down for coffee or a snack in somewhere furnished with second-hand, mismatched furniture reminiscent of an imagined better world but who like to have a good... We stayed 4 days' in Church Stretton and I would have had no trouble eating all my lunches at Berry's - they have a remarkably varied menu, with a long regular menu and a delicious range of daily specials as well as sensational home-made cakes - even the standard things were superbly executed (wonderful welsh rarebit and salads and a... We sat in the small walled garden at the back of the cafe. The food was very nice but the experience was spoiled by the proximity & smell from the loos and the arrival of 2 ladies with 3 very large, and to be honest smelly dogs, half way through our meal. The garden isn't big enough for that many... More

I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your visit to us. We do allow dogs in the courtyard, but it is very rare that there is more than one at a time (if that), and three is extremely unusual. To be honest, I'm not sure that, even if we wanted to, we could justifiably seek to limit the number of dogs... More

We just popped in for a coffee. The waitresses polite, friendly and served us with a smile. Coffee was excellent. What more could you ask for. Surroundings quirky, courtyard lovely on a sunny day. This was our second visit and we will be back.

Only stoped here for a pot of tea and a milkshake. So glad we did, quirky little coffee house with a beautiful snug victorian courtyard. We sat and enjoyed the sun & the fresh air while drinking fresh tea. Cannot wait to return and try the food it looks amazing, and supports local produce which we love.

Having walked up to the Long Mynd Hotel and looked at their excellent wood carvings along the forest trail, we were ready for a spot of lunch. The courtyard garden is a lovely spot to eat and the waitresses, busy as they were, found time to be personable and friendly. The hot chicken and bacon sandwiches (generous amount of filling!)... Berry's had been recommended to us to try after a 10 mile hike in the hills and it didn't disappoint. We had my very tired Labrador with us and were relieved dogs were welcome in the courtyard outside seating. This suited us as it was a beautiful morning. The menu was full of things I wanted to eat but the... More

We popped in because we knew the coffee was good , so we decided to have a late `sunday morning breakfast. We ordered the blue berry pancakes , and they were fabulous. `with fresh fruit, mango, raspberry, strawberry and blueberries. `freshly cooked and with maple syrup. Great chunky pancake with a home made taste . Coffee is good as you get... More
