Remains my favourite coffee house

I haven't been able to go for a while , so was thrilled to see Berry's has not changed, delicious homemade food, good coffee, gorgeous cakes, all locally sourced. Love everything about berry's including the history of the building.

This is a fantastic tea shop with an excellent range of home-made cakes . The lay out is warm and cosy- particularly welcome on a cold, winter's day and the staff are friendly and welcoming. They also offer an excellent range of breakfasts and daily specials for lunch.

Went most days when we were in Church Stretton for afternoon tea, coffee or lunch. Never disappointed with anything. Fresh well-sourced and home made food. Friendly staff. Quirky rooms and decor just made it feel great.

Berrys is accessed just off Church Stretton High St and that in itself is a bit of an issue. You can easily miss it and they should really do something about the alleyway that leads to the front door; - broken tarmac, uneven surfaces, puddles, etc. The premises themselves are broken up into different 'zones' - by evolution rather that... Thanks for your comments: although hard to believe, we have been trying for some 7 months to have the potholes filled in but are still waiting for a long enough period without rain for them to dry out (in the meantime they keep getting worse, of course). I'm sorry you feel we are a bit pricy. However everything, including our... More

We went in at lunchtime on a cold Sunday and sat near the fire. The soup and sandwiches were tasty and generous. We had large pots of tea made with leaf tea; tea strainers (I can't remember the last time I saw one of those). The staff were attentive, letting us know how long our food would be. I saw... More

We went in for lunch after Christmas. The place wasnt full. We were asked if we would like drinks first so we ordered tea. Which came promptly without milk. Waitress says "Ill go get you some milk and take your food order" never to be seen again. Eventually when no staff appeared with either milk or pad to take our... More

I'm so sorry that our service on this occasion apparently failed to meet the standards to which we aspire. Without knowing exactly when you visited I am afraid I am unable to offer an explanation (although that would not of course be an excuse). More

Visited after 6mile walk - tea tasted so good! Great selection of cakes, if a little pricey. Very querky, feels like you are below stairs in a grand old house!

I'm glad you enjoyed you tea; however, I'm sorry you feel £2.30, including VAT, is expensive for a generous slice of cake home-made with local farm butter, free-range eggs and organic flour, with other ingredients ethically-sourced wherever possible (our price rises to £3.00 for a slice of heavily-fruited cake). I can assure you that only a small proportion goes towards... More

Whilst travelling north needed a snack and saw signs for Church Stretton. Turned in andsearched for parking spot and a car pulled out from side of road so pulled in and found we were outside this cafe. What good luck! Had a marvelous meal in quirky surroundings and friendly staff, what a find. Wish we didn't live so far away.... More

Berrys is a cosy old fashioned tea room, cosy armchairs, fires in Winter and a lovely conservatory type extension where you can eat delicious fayre in the Summer. Food is reasonably priced and the lunch and tea menu provide something for everyone from delicious sandwiches and soups to more substantial meals. Cakes and biscuits are home made , staff are... Visited for a weekday lunch and was surprised that it was almost empty. Food was very good with homemade soup plus pate and bread. Have not been here before for lunch but will probably visit again when next in Church Stretton
