New menu for the season

Impressed by the number of vegan/vegetarian meals on the new menu, so decided to give it a try. Opted for the 'Vegetable Tower', accompanied by skinny chips. Don't normally like skinny chips but these were good. The Tower was made up of sliced aubergine, potato and roasted peppers. A tad on the... read more

We visited at the end of season (literally - the last week) so things were a little bit in wind-down mode, but it was a wonderful place, with fish and chips ("and baked beans. Don't forget the baked beans") that my daughter adored - and at five, she's quite the connoisseur.... It's a warm and friendly place, with a decent... More

We've been to this pub many times and have enjoyed the food here. We would definitely go back. My only issue is the staff are not always very friendly. Most of the time its fine but there have been a few times when I've felt a little inconvenient and for this reason it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice. But... More

We were intent on walking the 'Flowerdale' waterfall which is just to the rear of the restaurant but were tempted to go inside the pub first. We were met with an immediately warm friendly atmosphere so decided we would eat before we did the walk. We ordered local ales and fish and chips. The food was delicious although the fish... More

Enjoyed a good, off season dinner in the bar. The venison casserole was great and very tasty. Slight issue with a rather tough dumpling! The Haggis, tatties and peas - not a fan of neeps - were great too!

I went here with my Dad four times over four days whilst up in Gairloch for some whale watching. We had a very good experience over the course of the time we had up there. Only had one bad dish and that was a confection of scallops that didn't need the cream they were served in. The venison was excellent... More

We stayed in Gairloch for four nights in the Gairloch Highland Lodge (10% discount off the food from staying there) up the road and ate in here every night. Each meal was expertly cooked, seasoned and prepared. We are surprised to see the previous reviews and could not disagree more with them. This is not meant to be a gastro... More
