Mesdames et Messieurs les Français, oubliez vis préjugés et choisissez les spécialités locales, vous verrez comme c'est excellent… English below. We arrived at the Gairloch Highland Lounge hotel and didn't have any idea where to go for dinner. The Hotel sent us to the sister place, the Old Inn. A short list menu, including a soup of the day, a... More

Friendly local pub, with good food served in the restaurant. Megan was our waitress, she was brilliant at her job making us feel very relaxed ensuring we were happy with every thing.

We were hoping to love this place as it was within walking distance of our holiday cottage. We went a couple of times for drinks and impressions were good - lovely beer garden, friendly staff, busy pub, so we booked in for a meal, which turned out to be disappointing. The evening we went there, there wasn't enough staff for... More

Popped into the Old Inn during a road trip of the West Coast. This restaurant was advertising fresh local seafood, which was certainly not the case. Below average food, and the prawns in the crab cake sandwich were more Iceland than local and very poor quality. The place itself was looking old and tired and was somewhat dirty, and the... More

Visited The Old Inn yesterday. BIG MISTAKE. First of all we ordered calamari for a starter, it would have been easier to digest a rubber band and they were clearly straight from the freezer. Not good at all. The "waitress" didn't even seen interested in the fact we has left it uneaten. For main course i ordered the daily catch... More

Been visiting The Old Inn over the last 20 years on many holidays - great location and setting. Unfortunately the most recent experiences (2) have been really disappointing and in our opinion see a considerable downturn in food quality and service. Good pub grub is worth paying for but this does not fall into that category now. Our most recent... More

Impressed by the number of vegan/vegetarian meals on the new menu, so decided to give it a try. Opted for the 'Vegetable Tower', accompanied by skinny chips. Don't normally like skinny chips but these were good. The Tower was made up of sliced aubergine, potato and roasted peppers. A tad on the oily side but delicious all the same. Lots... More
