We have been here many times over the years and I'm sorry to say things seem to be going down hill every visit. This visit I ordered a ploughman's it was all delicious, game terrine, pickled veg, salad but served with disgusting pre sliced rubbery cheese of some sort. This is total madness when you can get delicious local cheese! Well where do we start, this is my first review and I feel compelled to warn members of the appalling attitude of the owner, the incompetence of the staff, the quality of the food and the lack of availability of the beer as brewed on site in the funny little container/micro brewery in the car park. In short I would... More

Lovely spot for an Inn and very welcoming to K9s but the food was basic. We ate outside and the furniture was incredibly dirty, I had to wipe everything down. The staff are hard to find. The food was nice but the usual pub variety.

stopped in for late lunch. waited at the bar for 10 minutes to order food. was then told " we stopped serving at 2:30" . itt was 2 :35. what was rude was the dismissive way that the bartender refused to serve us. very rude, not a ' sorry to make you wait, but we are not serving now' which... More

We went here for dinner and while they were amazingly busy they did make room for us and we had some great seafood dishes - and were a bit surprised that they had a surcharge for credit card payments

We attempted to book a table in the restaurant but as it was a Saturday we were not surprised to find it fully booked so we were offered a table in the bar area. When we arrived we were shown to a small round table which was really too small to dine from so we moved to another table which... More

We stopped here for lunch with a group of friends on an annual car trip. This was our second try at this establishment and whilst the staff and service were far superior the food and value for money isn't there yet. Tiny portion for the goats cheese and beetroot light bite and I would avoid the Ploughman's. Not sure if... More

This is our third time staying at the Old In and we will certainly be back. The rooms are well furnished with comfortable beds and kept very clean. The quality of food produced by the French chef is excellent and although, over a week, we ate at other places, we kept coming back to the Old Inn. Some may find... More
