We've been here a few times and really enjoyed the food. We decided to drive up for a visit last week (its a long way to drive for us but normally worth it). After waiting over an hour for our mains I asked where they were. Once I asked, the waitress didn't bother to come and tell us so I... More

Waited 90 minutes for the main course to be delivered and when it did arrive our friends who had ordered crab cakes were disgusted to find it was literally mashed potato. No sign of any crab! We had the crab ravioli which was OK because presumably they had not run out of crab when they made the pasta. A really... More

We booked a table here as the menu looked good and the real ale was excellent. We arrived on time and were shown to a table. We then waited...and waited....and waited. None brought a menu, took a drinks order or even spoke to us to explain the delay. We then asked what was happening at the bar and were told... More

I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled to give these guys a thumbs up. Especially pleased that they serve early evening meals, which is great for our young family (we booked in at 5pm). Excellent and varied menu with a lovely fish board and specials list. Our family was made to feel very welcome and the guy cooking the... More

we were met by a very enterprising young man who went out of his way to make sure we were given what we wanted to eat , the menu had muscle linguine and I wanted seafood linguine, so he made sure I was given a made to measure menu , it was delicious ! i would also recommend the sardinian... More

Good pub grub but avoid the room over the kitchen, they couldn't have made more noise if they tried!

Arrived on a busy saturday evening without a reservation and after a bit of debating they managed to fit us in, we eat in the bar area and ordered from the blackboard. We were a bit confused at first as we were given a menu for the adjoining Italian restaurant but were told that we could order either Italian or... More

We really enjoyed the food here, but when our main courses came we sat and waited for the rest to arrive for over 5 minutes. I ordered Lobster which was supposed to come with chips and a side salad. It came out with rice. My husband ordered surf and turf with chips and side salad. His steak came sat on... More
