This is the first time we have eaten here and what a fabulous place it is. All 4 of us had different things and we were all extremely happy with our choices. All too full to manage desert though! Great food, great service and great atmosphere, we returned on our last night of hols and had another great meal. The... More

I was so surprised by this place. Had a amazing pasta with chunks of delicious meat in. Very impressed. Reasonable prices. Gives the other places in alnmouth a run for their money

When you read bad reviews, you often think of how much hyperbole the reviewer uses (was it really that bad..., surely they must be exaggerating?) but The Italia deserves it all. We had to wait over an hour for our meal to arrive, and the rare steak we ordered turned out to be so well done, it was impossible to... More

Great food and service. Just like the Hope and Anchor. Worth a visit - they serve the same fresh fish as the Hope does. I would book in summer. Specials board yesterday was fresh lobster, turbot, langoustines, sea bass and Dover Sole!

This is the first time we have visited this restaurant. The cheese garlic bread was gorgeous the best we gave tasted for a long time. My husband had a chicken dish and I had scallops both of which where very nice. The sticky toffee pudding with local ice cream was delicious. The staff weren't overbearing overall it was a very... While the staff were friendly and welcoming, the standard of food and hygiene left a lot to be desired. For example the pizza 'shovel' was constantly placed against the oven wall with the end that came into contact with the pizzas on the floor, while the pots and pans used (we could see into the kitchen area from our table)... Arrived a minute before happy hour ended at 17:30, the restaurant was nearly full but the smiling staff found us a table. Just visiting for the Alnmouth arts festival so this was a random choice. Turned out to be an excellent choice. Delicious pork belly and slow cooked lamb mains. I liked the loud announcements from the kitchen hatch when... More

After a really upsetting day visiting mum at hospital we just about turned up in time for The Alnmouth Arts Festival evening. We were late pitching at the Italia however Mark Dawson was kind enough to give us a pass to a lovely Meal. Great food, great staff, totally looked after. Thank you. Lovely memories of bringing mum In Happier... More

A classic Italian in a perfect little village. The food is great, staff friendly and you can watch the pizzas being made. However the service could be faster.
