Visited here along with friends several times over a long weekend stay near Alnmouth - good menu choice, friendly service, good quality food and great cup of coffee. Highly recommend.

Looks nice as you walk in, bright and spacious cafe not far from the beach with table service. That's the good stuff over - places like this do no good at all for tourism in the lovely county of Northumberland. Tips for management: (1) If you have run out of home cooked local ham, tell the customer and apologise. Don't... More

I chose this cafe for the bright, light conservatory near the sea, after a walk on the beach. The baked potato was generously garnished with my chosen topping and with a fresh watercress salad. I had a lovely light cappuccino as well. The service was prompt and pleasant. I spent quite a long time enjoying the place with its quiet... More

Stopped off for refreshments after a drive from Newcastle. It is a long time since I had a pot of tea made with loose tea leaves and it was excellent. The cafe was nice and clean and the staff polite. If I am in the area again I will definitely call again.

Met a friend for a light lunch and when I arrived (first), I was ignored for some time. Then, when we did order, a scone and a hot drink each the scones came quite promptly but we had almost finished them before the drinks arrived....The waitresses were pleasant enough but they seemed to lack direction. Not sure who was in... More

After a long walk along the shoreline, we needed a little refreshment, but being strangers, fell upon this delightful establishment, part of a chain but good quality. We only took tea/coffee and scones, but excellent and tasty and reasonable priced, lots of customers demonstrating its popularity. Recommended to all.

We stumbled across the Dandelion Café today as we drove along near the seafront. We just wanted a quick bite to eat, so I had the home-made leek and potato soup, my husband tried the coffee and toasted hazelnut cake, and we both had coffee. My soup was served swiftly. It came with a nicely warmed small Panini and pats... More

A more modern café, but still with excellent food and snacks and tea and coffee. Its bright and light - the toasted teacakes are a delight, the coffee very good. Service is friendly. The range of the menu is excellent and there is nice open outside seating for when the sun does come out!

I review frequently fairly and usually quite positively however with the dandelion I am afraid I cannot think of anything nice to say. We had tea and sandwiches which cost us £16 . My husband ordered northumberland beef and blue cheese sandwich and I ordered egg mayonnaise. Unless Northumberland Cattle are square the beef was processed and completely tasteless the... More

Visited twice, first time had a very nice ham sandwich, which was pricey, but had huge quantities of ham on it. The coffee and scone were also very good. Second time just had coffee and cake, which was rather dry, I did not finish it. The service was efficient, but not really very friendly. What surprised me was that the... More
