Lovely menu with good portions really homely. We have visited on many occasions and every time have had a great time with good beer wine and food all at reasonable prices. We also were able to take our spaniel in with us!

Like other contributors we were staying at the nearby Saddle b&b so got the 10% discount. It was the best of the places that we ate in. A really "local pub" atmosphere, but serving a good variety of dishes including local seafood specialities, all well cooked, and a good selection of real ales to accompany them

Delicious food at a good price. Lovely, cosy friendly pub. Stayed at the Saddle Inn nearby and received a discount on our food at the Sun Inn.

Ate here on Valentine's evening and thoroughly enjoyed my steak dinner. The staff were really friendly and the surroundings were cosy. Pleased they had wifi as never had a phone signal the whole time I was indoors in Alnmouth. The staff even joined in a wind up I was involved in when my boyfriend and brother-in-law thought it be funny... More

Yes, a nicely adapted old public house in historic Alnmouth, but disappointing food of a very ordinary nature that is overpriced. Why? Burger in a bun with chips at £10.95? Steak and ale pie with ordinary vegetables at the same price. Only the lamb shank looks value for money. Who serves kipper pate with french bread? Toast surely. No, I... More

Loved the décor - wood & natural substances on walls. Nice meals & snacks, pet friendly. Busy at lunchtime so go early! Recommend.
