Another fab' meal at Bistro 23. After many visits as a family on our own or with friends we have never been disappointed

Always a very warm welcome. This Bistro is great for both a relaxed meal and a special occasion. I love the menu as it is easy to make a good choice without being overwhelmed with too many options. Keeping things simple focusing on quality and delivering the right number of meal and wine options make this an absolute favourite.

Myself and 16 friends ate at Bistro 23 for my 30th birthday and had an excellent meal. The food was fresh, attractively presented and delicious, as well as being reasonably priced. Despite us being a large party, th service was quick and and we were well looked after by the friendly and attentive staff. Between us, we are almost every... More

Fab place, fab food and friendly staff. Let down by the fact we've tried to visit a few times lately and it has been closed! Opening times displayed on the window would help.

Thank you for your review on the tea room.I am pleased to hear you have enjoyed your visits & am sorry you have found us closed on some occasions. We are in fact open every day, except Tuesdays, throughout the winter months(every day during school holidays) and due to a very seasonal business in Alnmouth we do not open in Winter until... A wonderful, atmospheric evening with in house piper and tributes to The Bard. Menu perfectly designed to fit all tastes, with a nip of whiskey for toasting and great service as always. Thank you to Alistair, Anna and staff for a great evening.

Cold mid morning and we decided we needed refreshments so pottered into this place. We had dogs but they were very welcoming when they saw how well behaved they were. The lady serving was fab and nothing was too much trouble.Lots of cakes and hot chocolates later and we ambled away very happy with the place.Would recommend highly

We decided to call in for lunch, after a rather bracing walk along Alnmouth beach (a must do as it is such a lovely beach). Our visit didn't get off to the beast of starts. The place itself was rather chilly, even though we were sat next to heaters; but then it was a very cold day, and the place... More

Found this place after a wet, windy walk on the beach. We were very wet when we entered but had a very friendly, warm welcome. We only wanted a light lunch so I had leek and potato soup and my husband had spicy tomato soup, all served with bread and butter. My husband enjoyed his soup and, I have to say... More

We recently had brunch at Bistro 23 following a brisk walk on the beautiful Alnmouth sands. The waiting staff were very accomodating and happy to make up a vegetarian-style brunch for me.

We were delighted to find the tea rooms open in December after a brisk walk on the beach. They had a good selection of food including provision for a gluten-free diet. Lovely service and refills of coffee!
