Celebrated my mother’s 60th birthday at the Fauconberg Arms, They catered for 30 and every single person said they had a fantastic evening! Very much like this pub, the woman behind the bar is extremely friendly and drums up conversation. The place is nice warm and cosy and the food although a little pricey is very good quality and tastes beautiful. A true gem this place is !!!!

We had a meal here with my husband and 3 children, and loved it. My daughter enjoyed the venison very much, although complained it felt like eating bambi. We sat by the fire, and the cat and dog came and sat next to us, and we really thought the atmosphere was good. Overall, an exellent meal!

We arrived for lunch at 1.45pm on a Saturday and were told they had stopped serving food. Couldn't believe it! Luckily we went a little further to the Black Swan at Oldstead and were treated to a lovely lunch. A happy ending for us, but won't be troubling the Fauconberg any more.

The menu is typical of this type of restaurant, with good variety and excellent quality. We noted that the fiish is delivered daily. The service was excellent, the prices reasonable, and the staff eager to please.
