This is a real gem of a pub. It is the oldest pub in Louth and is full of the old charm you'd hope for. I really enjoyed the good, honest pub food, reasonably priced and good sized portions. The food was cooked with quality ingredients. The pie was fab - stuffed full of tasty meat - quality well above... More

My friend treat me to lunch here yesterday. The menu isn't vast but good quality food was served at a reasonable price which included proper home made chips. The decor is olde worlde as you would expect from a traditional tavern that's been serving the folk of Lincolnshire for over 300 years. Just duck your head on the way in... More

My wife and I called into the Ye White Swan for Sunday lunch and found it had been taken over by new owners. It was a traditional lunch with a choice of roast beef or chicken. We chose the beef and were not disappointed, the portions were very generous with two huge slices of beef with yorkshire puddings, carrots that... More

My Wife & I were on a wandering day out and decided to pop in for a a quick lunch. It is as you expect from the outside ~ a cozy English pub with no airs or graces, we sat in the front bar served by a very friendly lady. We both had Ham, Egg, Chips & peas. It arrived... More

We called for lunch during our flying visit to Louth. The front bar is very tiny so we ate in the back room which is basic but very nice. The lady that served us was very friendly and helpful. I started with prawn cocktail which was a bit on the warm side but was nice. We all had the steak... More

Can't have any complaints about a pub that is steeped in character such as this. Theakston's on draught and reasonably priced - a pint of bitter and half a lager & lime was four pounds fifty. Pleasant staff, helpful in every way. We took our seats in the corner and just enjoyed drinks and the atmosphere - a few old... More

Recently dropped into Ye Old White Swan and it is literally stepping back in time. This place has been a taverns since around 1645 and still retains it's charm. The previous reviewer gave it a slating but it all depends on what you are looking for. A theme pub this is not. The wall and ceiling is clad in pine... More

This old inn looks to offer much, but it didn't deliver for us. I'm told the food is good, if slightly over priced for a pub, but we didn't stay to find out. The front bar is tiny and uncomfortable and are opened up at the rear has all the atmosphere of a 1960's school dining hall.

I've popped into this pub for a pint several times over the past 4 years and always found it cosy and welcoming. I've always wanted to try their fish menu but not had the time or opportunity. During summer I was in Louth one Saturday and witnessed a chef in the filthiest of 'whites' enter the pub and disappear into... More

The service was so slow. It is written outside that families are welcomed yet how many families can wait an hour for food! I wouldn't have minded so much but I had only ordered a ham sandwich! The drinks were flat twice. No apology was given for the delay. Certainly won't be going back. Don't even want to give it... More
