We have eaten here several times and all have been positive experiences the food is always good and the service is great good choice of wines and whilst not the cheapest place to eat we often use it for special occasions despite it being a bit of a trek from where we live it is worth the journey

Booked a table here to take some friends for lunch in the week before Christmas. I was told that 1:30 was the first time available so took that. When we got there we understood why - a Christmas Party was in full swing. Our lunch was delightful, the service attentive, the food excellent. The only hiccup was when we were... More

This restaurant, not open Monday's, has been renovated to produce a plush pub with excellent decor, nice food but a bit expensive for what is a slightly isolated eatery. Having a motel attached, most customers appear to be residents, but it's not bad, and the staff are friendly enough.

My husband took me here for a meal on our anniversary. We hadn't booked a table, but were still welcomed very warmly. The landlord and staff were extremely warm and welcoming. The food was ddelicious and definitely worth the money, we will definitely be going back.

You can eat in the informality of the bar our go for the white table cloth treatment in the restaurant. The food is home cooked, some of it from their own farm shop, out back. There are not many vegetarian options on the menu but a word with staff will bring forth a list of things that can be cooked... More

Driving to Norwich we needed a place to eat and having seen their road side sign a few times before, decided to give it a go. After all it can't be worse than a little chef ! We were so delighted we did. The "cottage" is beautiful, a snug bar and extensive dining area. Crisp white linen greated us together... More

Took our family for Sunday lunch and they didn't disappoint! Then we walked the grandkids around the country park and they loved it!

Having undertaken a wet and windy walk round the Reedbed Reservoir at Frampton Nature Reserve, we tried at least three (closed) pub restaurants before hitting upon the Thatched Cottage in Sutterton. We were aware of its excellent reputation and were delighted that it was actually open on a Monday lunchtime! We were greeted warmly by ""mein Host"" and ordered from... More

A beautiful building full of character idyllically nestled in the village of Sutterton next to a country park. You're guaranteed a warm welcome from very pleasant and obliging staff who make every effort to make the visit an enjoyable one. For our recent birthday celebration meal we were given two varied menus from which to choose. The food was of... More
