Just the best fish and chips in Boston. All tastes now catered for and there is a lovely outside eating area.

It's a good, old fashioned traditional fish & chip shop. There is take away or sit down. The sit down option is not fancy, like upstairs in Eagles of Boston. However, the service is quick, efficient and friendly. There is not a lot of room. However, the best thing is it is always busy - The true sign of quality... More

We've had food to take away from here on a handful of occasions. It has always been hot and freshly cooked while not being too greasy. My only 'complaints' would be chip portion sizes vary widely - sometimes a large is only fractionally smaller than a regular. As we share one large portion this is sometimes not sufficient. Also 1/2... More

I have been here twice now and and put the chip shop as my favorite. The first time I could not belive how good the quality and more important the taste was. The second time although I had a small amount of work in Boston I took my wife, daughter and grand daughter, all shared my first opinion. I am... More

We have visited Boston Marina regularly over the years and have walked past Tate's many times. Big mistake! Ate there for the first time last week and we will certainly go back. The place is a traditional fish and chip eatery with a good atmosphere, friendly service and the best fish and chips we've ever tasted... crisp batter and no... More

All you expected from a UK chippy. Clean happy place. True Boston experience. Gets busy on market days. Can eat inside or take away outside with plenty of seats

We were given this recommendation by friends and need to share it with you all. If your in the area then it is a must for lunch. Although it's not very big and a little cramped inside the fish and chips are the best ever.
