Good food. friendly staff True chippy.

All you expected from a UK chippy. Clean happy place. True Boston experience. Gets busy on market days. Can eat inside or take away outside with plenty of seats

I have been here twice now and and put the chip shop as my favorite. The first time I could not belive how good the quality and more important the taste was. The second time although I had a small amount of work in Boston I took my wife, daughter and grand daughter, all shared my first opinion. I am... More

We have visited Boston Marina regularly over the years and have walked past Tate's many times. Big mistake! Ate there for the first time last week and we will certainly go back. The place is a traditional fish and chip eatery with a good atmosphere, friendly service and the best fish and chips we've ever tasted... crisp batter and no... More

Superb quality, good sized portions. Lovely outside seating area. And crinkly chips, if your in boston these fish and chips are a must.

We were given this recommendation by friends and need to share it with you all. If your in the area then it is a must for lunch. Although it's not very big and a little cramped inside the fish and chips are the best ever.

Whenever I visit family near Boston I always look forward to having a chippy meal at Tate's. This time I was so disappointed I had crinkle cut Chips that were fairly soggy too. What happened to the proper chips I've come to expect from a chip shop. The cod looked large but was in fact lots of batter and a... More

Best Fish & Chips in the Town, i live in skegness & its full of chip shops but when we want chips its boston for us!!! My only dislike is the local bus route that runs right through the centre of town & the market

Traditional f&c's in a traditional old building. If you want authenticity and to eat where the locals do, I'd recommend it.

It's a chippy and it's fairly expensive for what it is. I don't mind paying for good quality fish but £2 for a tray of chips, come on they are just chips for god sake. Maybe they charge that much because you get nice friendly service.
