V good small restaurant - hard to get in during peak times - recently relocated due to fire at premises.
Managed to get a table mid week and our first time visiting the new premises. Food was stunning as usual, good variety for all 3 courses. Had the warm potato salad, chicken and cheesecake. Would highly recommend.
We came to Ascoughs in the new premises it is a restaurant that we use a lot as our special treat place to eat. We had a great meal, couldn't fault it and the gentleman that served us were lovely. It was a shame when we got the bill the lady who brought the card machine over was so rude... More
We booked for a big party and were very impressed that the chef managed to get everything to the same excellent standard as for the normal flow of diners. The gnocchi starter and the three way cooked lamb main course were fresh and delicious while the dessert and petit fours (made on the premises as everything else is) were gems... More
I met up with a friend for lunch and she suggested Ascoughs. There were plenty of other people eating which gives you a clue as to how popular this place is and with good reason. Well priced with very tasty food the truffle potatoes with the slow cooked beef were fab. I couldn't resist a dessert and the treacle tart... More
Three friends and I met up at Ascough's Market Harborough (thanks to finding each other on FaceBook). It was more than 50 years since we had seen each other. The food was superb, the service equalled the food, the ambience was perfect and all together it was an amazing experience. We barely had time to eat due to all our... More

We were very comfortable at our table at street level. The food was excellent and very good value. Staff are friendly efficient and professional. The highlight of my... More
We found the food very good but more importantly the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Also for someone from London the prices were very reasonable both for food and wine.
An excellent meal in the new site, and at a very affordable price. Friendly service and good wine list add to the overall experience here. The food is excellent and would not be out of place in much more expensive establishments. Highly recommended
