I'd heard a lot about this place, so was really expecting something special when hubby took me for dinner on Saturday night. Staff were pleasant, if young and inexperienced, it was nice to be greeted at the door, but they had no 'chat' to carry the welcome through. It all felt a bit awkward. We were seated in the window,... More

We usually visit this restaurant for Sunday lunch, and have always been impressed by the service and delicious dishes, imaginatively prepared and beautifully presented. Our hostess (more than a waitress) sets the tone with her friendly welcome and attention, and we really enjoy trying the varied menu each time.

We have visited this restaurant many times and the food has always been excellent (this time too) but unfortunately I think we suffered from a case of apparent chef arrogance this time around. My partner wanted to order Pollack as a main course which was served with a black pudding salad. She is not fond of black pudding so asked... More

A small restaurant serving a nice food which was presented and the chef obviously knows his trade. Pigeon breast starter lovely venison main And the cheese board for me Scallops and a pork dish and a almond sponge with marmalade ice cream for my partner a cracking bottle of red. Service was good. My only criticism would be the portions... More

We had the five course mystery menu which was superb. The staff were attentive, informative and charming. The only slight disappointment was the presence of a gentleman who occupied a seat at the small bar area all evening. Unfortunately, he had a very bad cough so provided a less than brilliant soundtrack occasionally which was a bit off putting. It... More

I wanted to find a restaurant in Nailsworth for Mother's Day celebration during the week and Mark@Street did not disappoint, in fact it was amazingly delicious, fresh clean cooking. This was a revelation as so often restaurants cooking is heavy and offers the same old things, but we enjoyed a delicious lunch there. My mother had the Cornish haddock and... More

The perfect restaurant for Mothering Sunday. Absolutely beautiful food had by all of us, washed down with some delightful Prosecco. Three of us chose the chicken liver parfait to start which was just superb and my Mother chose the poached egg with baby gem lettuce - wonderfully cooked, great presentation and very tasty. For main course, one diner chose pork... More

First time here, busy Saturday, but had great tasty, locally sourced food with really attentive service. Extra touches of pre-starter and homemade petits fours topped off a special night in a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Our first time at this lovely little restaurant food was devine little mix -up on the bill which was rectified by the restaurant staff contacting us as soon as we had left. Shall recommend to our own customers who stop in our Holiday properties. We shall be back as we only live 20Minutes away. Thankyou Mark and staff.
