Description: Our Bistro menu celebrates British food and produce of the South West, making best use of Hobbs House Bakery's handmade bread and wood fired oven. We have a focus on the carefully sourced; everything is bought directly from the producers and cooked with real care and imagination. We put a a strong focus on the traditional cuts of meat from our butchery alongside fish that may have fallen from favour, but lack nothing in flavour. We serve great teas and coffee from local roasters Extract. This is all complemented by a selection of local ales and ciders as well as our comprehensive wine list, put together by Nailsworth-based Raffles Wine. "Hobbs House has become one of the jewels in Nailsworth's crown", Gloucestershire Echo

We were staying nearby so popped in here a couple of times, firstly for coffee and cake - my husband had his favourite- Portuguese custard tart and I had a Bakewell slice. Today we had breakfast sandwiches - bacon and a bacon, sausage and egg in delicious crash bread. Would recommend. Inside there was a fantastic selection of cakes and... More

Dropped in to the Cafe above the famous bakery and shop. Enjoyed a delicious coffee and a bacon sarnie using fresh bread baked that morning. A very relaxing environment, with free WIFI and very popular with early morning shoppers and local business people. A cut above the usual "greasy joe's" breakfast cafe's and an enjoyable place for coffee and the... More

Went with our son, a fan of the Baker Brothers bread, and the grand kids. Such was the scrumptious food on offer in the shop, I put on a couple of kilos just thinking about it, and nearly didn't make it upstairs to the restaurant. Good service, well cooked food, the kids pizzas went down a treat, nicely presented by... More

We were very excited to realise this was a 'fabulous baker brothers' place and raced here for brunch. Firstly, the coffee is not up to scratch, they use Has Bean coffee which is excellent but are not up to date with the quality of coffee around. The flat white I had was very average. Secondly, the poached eggs on toast... More

Thank you for your review of our Bakery in Nailsworth. We are very sorry to hear you were disappointed. I would just like to let you know we are now using a Bristol coffee roaster Extract, and people seem really happy with the coffee. Thanks again for the feedback. More

...according to my seven year old daughter who is something of an expert! Hobbs house is always a treat when we come home from overseas. Service is friendly and food is spot on. It's always a disappointment when it's too busy to find a seat.

As we were away for a long weekend of R&R, we decided to indulge in breakfast out.... We went to Hobbs House as it was recommended by our landlady, and it didn't disappoint. Lovely coffees and the breakfast sandwiches we had were cooked exactly to our rather specific requirements. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. All in all, a... More

We had a snack here in a nice simple setting upstairs with friendly staff. The croque monsieur is overpriced and rather bland. The gluten free brownie was very luscious and the tea and coffee were as expected.

Have eaten here on a number of occasions and can't fault either quality of the produce or the service. Called in during the festival weekend and despite it being busy, again service was faultless. Yes, perhaps some of the bakery items are more expensive when compared to other high steet establishments, but Hobbs are Artisians. You get what you pay... More

First of all, everybody says they do fantastic bread, and I understand they’ve been on TV or something – I can't comment, as I’ve never bought bread there. What I have done is pop in – twice – for a Croque Monsieur (toasted ham and cheese sandwich with a university education, sorry, price), and both times (unless somewhere is REALLY... More

We visited this bistro/bakery twice during our stay. The first time we had a takeaway lunch which just tasted so fresh, the bread was incredible and we would highly recommend you take a visit if you are in the area. The second visit was for coffee and cake and we certainly were not disappointed. Really relaxed atmosphere, fantastic, friendly staff... More
