Description: Our Bistro menu celebrates British food and produce of the South West...
Our Bistro menu celebrates British food and produce of the South West, making best use of Hobbs House Bakery's handmade bread and wood fired oven. We have a focus on the carefully sourced; everything is bought directly from the producers and cooked with real care and imagination. We put a a strong focus on the traditional cuts of meat from our butchery alongside fish that may have fallen from favour, but lack nothing in flavour. We serve great teas and coffee from local roasters Extract. This is all complemented by a selection of local ales and ciders as well as our comprehensive wine list, put together by Nailsworth-based Raffles Wine. Very quaint bakery!

Took us a short while to find the bakery as we read about it in a local guide book. Once inside it's very welcoming with the 'bakery' on ground level with fresh delicatessens out on display. Their little cafe is upstairs. Lunch was amazing, coffee great and the art on the walls (for sale) was... read more

Our favourite lunchtime stop during our Cotswald holiday. I'd highly recommend the white chocolate brownie - a decadent delight, as well as the smashed avocado on sourdough. Freshly baked yummyness.

Visited for lunch with my sister and my daughter. Not cheap but worth every penny. Beautiful fresh food, a lovely children's lunch, great service, very clean. I also had Prosecco and a scone. The scone was beautifully fresh and there was no skimping on the glass of Prosecco, it was huge, and tasted lovely too.

Went for breakfast at 9.50am. Breakfast is served until 11.45am. We ordered 2 full English breakfasts, only to be told the full English wasn't available. Ordered the hash brown breakfast .....also not available. So eggs benedict and salmon & eggs ordered. Served on a tiny piece of soda toast that was like a rock. We have visited Hobbs many times... We went here for lunch and we loved it. It's not cheap but their standards and service are excellent. I had a frittata which was very generous served with a side salad with lots of different types of very fresh leaves. The coffee was also excellent and the local art on the walls just added to the experience. Superb.

Excellent food, friendly service in a warm relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble. Save room for cake and don't forget to buy bread on the way out

Popped in for lunch and enjoyed delicious toasties and salad. Not at all impressed by the upstairs decor though. The bright pink, plastic chairs are hideous - like eating lunch in play school.

Brilliant, plus the chips were so very tasty I did not need any condiments. All made fresh on the premises. Great atmosphere and service - thank you.

Went for a late breakfast with my sister in law. I could hardly eat it all and the hot chocolate was first rate.

Artisan breads by award winning Baker Brothers, also tasty pasties and nice cakes plus light lunches served upstairs. Friendly and helpful staff in both shop and cafe. NB Their breads etc sell out quickly at lunchtime so get in promptly.
