Great for a tasty lunch

We booked for a Saturday Lunch as we know this place gets very busy at the weekend. There is plenty of choice on the menu especially if you enjoy fish, which we do. I had lobster, salad and fries, such a tasty treat, the others had roast cod with lentils and the usual fish and chips. All meals... read more

Whether you want fish or meat this is a very special place fora meal. Lunch/brunch through the week. Only open for dinner on Fridays. The fish was perfectly cooked and the oysters very fresh. Excellent food. The restaurant and menu are small but just right. Not cheap but we felt happy to pay for quality of food and surroundings. The... More

We drove past the cafe and liked the look of it so decided to have lunch there. You get to the cafe area through the deli and first impressions are of clean chequered tablecloths and it was also very full, always a good sign. There wasn't a menu on display that we could see, but we got a table and... More

Mainly fish and seafood...and it is superb! Small, fresh and friendly, checked tablecloths. Make it look cheery. Do enter through the shop and admire the fresh fish counter and delicatessen counters. Up a couple of steps to the restaurant. I had a huge piece of fish and chips . Beer battered cod and home made tartar sauce. We also had... More

This is a very short review because my husband and I didn't stay long enough to eat. We arrived at lunchtime just wanting coffee and cake and rather than assuming it was ok not to have a full lunch we enquired first. A very rude member of staff said 'there's the menu' then marched off. So we walked out. I'm... More

This place is always popular, so one needs to arrive early for a table at lunch time. The menus are mainly fish and the quality is great and very good value.

great fish...great atmosphere..great staff...very delicious food, the only disappointment was the bread, especially sad as Hobbs bakery is across the road....it is a rare restaurant that serves superb food without pretentious staff and service....

Seriously.....every dish on the menu looked delicious on paper and every dish we watched coming out of the kitchen looked exquisite. We opted for the hake (with beans, sun dried tomatoes etc) and sole (with samphire and new potatoes) both of which were awash with amazing flavours and perfectly cooked, high quality fish. We enjoyed a cheese board (with accompanying... More

Went in Friday afternoon to enquire of availability and menu. Staff very helpful. The menu was not printed but the waitress went to the kitchen and enquired of the Chef what he was cooking that night. Williams is a deli, oyster bar and Restaurent. We (4) booked for 8 pm. Food is predominately fish/seafood with one or two meat options.... More

This is a seriously good place to eat and also shop for good quality fish and seafood. The restaurant is limited in it's amount of tables and they get snapped up pretty quickly so I would recommend getting there early. It's a must if you're a fish lover.
