Great food. Good selection on menu (not to sure about the previous review - I would recommend ignoring the below terrible comment). Great location. Views are amazing. Brilliant service and the wifi was welcoming. Visit this restaurant / pub and you will return. I am looking forward to trying their summer bbq on my next visit.

The food menu leaves a lot to be desired and you get the impression the chef just wanted to show off their Gordon Ramsey degree rather than attempting to make a menu that appeals to all situations. Not everyone wants a la carte all day. Change it up and like a tree, find your roots as this pub has long... More

Have been in this pub a few times including today after a walk on May Hill with my walking group and we enjoyed sitting outside with drinks. The service here has always been friendly. Maybe next time I am walking in the area I might try having a meal there rather than at the Glasshouse pub, another pub in the... More

We dined with friends here recently. We shared the tapas and the crackling with apple sauce for a starter, which was quite sufficient and all tasty. We had a variety of main courses and were all pleased with our choices. Likewise, sweets were generously portioned and well presented. Service was efficient and, by todays standards, wine was reasonably priced with... More

Hard to find but worth the search as the food was so tasty and fresh. We shared the tapas which was just the right portion to enjoy the mains.I had a Sea bream off the specials which was grilled to perfection and my husband had a steak which was cooked just right.Service was good and we chose the wine from... Whilst in the area we selected The Yew Tree from a pub guide. Despite sat nav,a map and directions in the guide we couldn't find it and had to resort to phoning the pub for directions! We enjoyed an excellent lunch from an extensive menu-well kept Bombardier and very friendly, helpful landlady. Well worth a visit.

We wanted to visit a pub with our puppy for lunch whilst we were staying in Herefordshire. After searching the internet, there were only a handful of pubs advertised as 'dog friendly' and the Yew Tree Inn was one of them. It is also close to a National Trust trail (bonus) and we weren't disappointed! The food was great (with... More

Rang on Saturday to book Sunday lunch. 12-4 the website said - no problem thought I. Wrong! Fully booked! No better indication that a place is doing something right more often than not. Anyway, I told the (charming) landlady that we were coming a fair distance to see our daughter and she very kindly squeezed us in. And we were... More

We were taken here for lunch by some friends. This is a lovely pub in a beautiful setting and would be very nice to visit again in the Summer and eat outside. We had a very nice lunch all the food cooked to order so this took a little time.
