Great location

This inn has a great atmosphere, and the staff were friendly. There is a nice cosy lounge area, and it seems popular with lots of people staying.

We stopped here while touring this sensational Cotswold village of Northleach. What a menu! And it is very dog friendly....it seemed that half the patrons had their dogs with them while dining. Do not let this deter you....the food is sensational and the staff are great!!!

This was our second or third visit. We'd been in the summer, when it is delightful to sit in the garden - possibly the nicest pub garden I have ever eaten in, all little verdant nooks and crannies, each with their own table, and hot and cold running waiting staff so you never have to hang around wanting another drink... Fantastic food - excellent raw materials cooked well without any extraneous ingredients, relaxed surroundings and caring service. The other customers were a mixed group, with a high proportion of "yummy mummy" weekenders and their families. The calves liver (pink, thickly sliced and very fresh) and Dexter meatballs were both outstanding. Just wish it was closer to home.

We got to this place by chance while wondering around Cotswolds countryside, and even though it was pretty late for having lunch (almost 2:30 pm), we were welcomed and served with big smiles. The restaurant was very nice and clean, and food was really tasty without being heavy at all! The only flaw was the bill: definitely too expensive in... More

We visited this restaurant over the Christmas period when it was fairly packed. However the staff did a really good job in difficult circumstances, the dining room, bar and private room were all packed. The food was great. We just had mains but all dishes were great. We had two children with us who both felt the children's pasta dish... More

Found The Wheatsheaf by accident as we wandered around Northleach. Originally just wanted to pop in for a drink but then saw the menu and decided to stay for lunch. The food was delicious but a little pricy, but nice for a treat. Average of about £20 for a mains course. The staff were courteous and efficient.

During our recent trip to Northleach we spent several evenings, including New Year's Eve, at the Wheatsheaf. We had a terrific time! All of the staff are friendly & professional. The food was very good. And even the "regulars" were happy to chat with us over a pint or 2. We sincerely hope to visit the Wheatsheaf again the next... More

We booked a table from a recommendation from friends. On arrival we were met with a very unfriendly barman (James). Basically we were ignored for not being local. When we were finally served, it felt like it was a real effort for him to make our drinks. My partner was then COVERED in beer which sperted out of the beer... More
