Visited Harwich today and came across this cafe and had a coffee there. It was very peaceful and lovely watching the boats and the river. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend

We visit Harwich to see family now and again. The quay is cute for a sit and gaze over the estuary so we usually end up getting a sandwich in the cafe. It is ok I guess. The sandwiches are served in what I guess might be cheap supermarket bread and aren't all that great, especially not for the price... More

Visited this cafe with my partner on a hot July day wanting a simple relaxing no thrills snack & a decent & drink on the pier. From first impressions this seemed like another basic no thrills typical cafe serving the usual tea, chips & burgers as you'd might expect from the usual greasy spoon cafes that blight this once proud seaside town.But... A delightful cafe in a delightful town. To be honest we weren't expecting much of Harwich but found it to be a very attractive town, full of interest. Since the Cafe on The Pier is set on the Pier we sat outside in the sunshine. The views are brilliant- from the Harwich International Port over the river to Shotley and... More

At this point ( we were there in 2013) I remember the experience more than the meal. We enjoyed the fish and chips, but even more sitting outside watching the activity on the water.

We stopped by for lunch on a warm summers day. The menu featured both snacks and light meals and we opted for lovely crayfish sandwiches and a beer. The food was prepared to order and was promptly delivered to our table. We throughly enjoyed our lunch as we watched the boats go by and really felt we could have been... More

No guesses needed to decide where this attraction is! Harwich Pier was built to accommodate the cross-channel ferries of years ago. On the pier and at the entrance is the Cafe run by Steve and his team, with swift and efficient service. The interior is decorated with themes suitable for the location, and this can be a little cramped at... More

This cafe is one of the reasons why i like Harwich. The cafe offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and meals. There is also a selection of desserts, snacks and icecream. I can highly recommend the Cromer crab salad!! The seafood is brilliant. The menu prices may seem a bit high if your on a tight budget,... More

We had just moored up at Half Penny Quay and needed a cooked breakfast. We looked no further than this cafe. For just over five pounds we got the full english with ample supply of bread and butter. They know how to fry eggs here - just right and generous portions. The sausages tasted great and were well cooked. Will... More
