Lovely cakes and food a little on the expensive side, I think they have changed hiw they make the latte's not as nice as they were, I always have tea now. Nice out look over to Shotley and you can pick up a foot ferry across the bay here too.

I was expecting this on a teacake (balm or bap or whatever you call them down there) but that wasn't a major issue... The bacon was a bit fatty for my liking but I suppose that's personal preference. The milkshake was nice. My friends... More

A good range of options with some interesting quirks such as chilli dip with fishcakes. Very pleasant to sit in the sun and eat leisurely. There was no hurry-up or hassling, and the staff are very attentive.

We enjoyed sitting out on the pier with a coffee and returned the next day for lunch. The prices were a little high considering they don't have a lot of overhead but the food was delicious. Try the prawn sandwiches - very tasty and fresh.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. We do have significant overheads, the most costly being insurance after the tidal surge flooded us in December. We also employ local people and give them hours of work throughout the year so need to save for this when it is sunny. More

Super views across the harbour, basic seating but as it was outside (on the pier) it was fine, the food - we had fish cakes and chilli con carne, both came with a good side salad and were reasonable portions for a lunch time. The prices were ok not cheap but much more reasonable than the Pier hotel across the... More

Thank you for your wonderful review. I read it to our staff after a really busy day when they were all exhausted - it makes the hard work worthwhile when customers take the time to praise our efforts. More
