Expensive and dissapionted.

My husband and I went in here today for a quick lunch. We wanted soup so didn't look at the menu. The stilton and brocalli soup was delisihious But we got a shock when we paid the bill as the cost was £10.50 that is a whopping £5.25 each bowl of soup. We have never paid this much for soup... read more

Stopped here when it was raining, had to wait a while for a table as it was so busy, but the food was delicious and the afternoon tea was lovely.

We had a nice afternoon tea but when we went to pay the bill we found it was not itemised and the price seemed more than expected, we queried that but was told no it was correct. We went home and telephoned to query the price again and found we had been over charged £3.00 and was told we could... More

I popped in here with a friend to have a hot drink and a bit of cake on a chilly day. We got a seat straightaway and ordered our drinks. The waitress then ignored us for ages before coming and taking the food order. They have cheese scones on the menu, these are my favourite thing. I ordered one, you... More

the cakes here recently feel to have gone down in quality, they have never been the best place for cakes but the chocolate cake I had although the icing was nice the main sponge didn't taste of much. Also, they sometimes forget about people sitting outside so we went in to order. There's also been confusion over wifi and where... More

We have stopped here twice during long distance cycle rides to recover and re-fuel. The food is lovely and the cakes mouth watering my favourite being carrot cake. Coffee is good quality. Friendly staff always polite and helpful. We are going to make this a regular stop when we are over that way from Harlow

We sat outside in the courtyard as it was a nice day. As soon as we had reviewed the menu, the service was quick and friendly. We had a BLT each and the sandwiches were well filled and the granary bread was superbly soft - where do they find such bread. Would recommend this to everyone.

I live around a 10 minute walk from here, and so often meet friends or family for lunch there. There is an outdoor and indoor dining area. The indoor area is always clean and very well maintained. I note there have been a few bad reviews about the service. Whilst it can be slightly slow when they are busy, it's... More

Delicious, fresh food. Good provision for wheat and/or gluten free. Very welcoming staff and a nice, clean baby change area (with hanging mobile to keep your little one entertained!)

sat in the sun drenched courtyard for a quick lunch. Lovely well filled sandwhich. Freindly, accomodating service. Have been there a couple of times now and and always had a postive expereince.
