Just came back from our Sunday lunch at the Cricketers. My husband is a big fan of Jamie, and have tried pretty much all of his restaurants in London. I am Italian and I like some of his dishes more than others, but am always fascinated by good English food. I was delighted with the meal at the Cricketers. Not... More

We decided to visit The Cricketers as our friends were going away and would not see us for a few weeks and things we normally see each other for were not possible. All of us had contacted them via email nd phone and were assured that Coeliac sufferers are catered for and that anythign could be made Gluten Free. NOT... More

Our friends had received a voucher for free pie and mash so we took advantage of this and all had pies, three had steak and I had the pulled pork and stilton. All were very good.especially for nothing. However this offer is by voucher only, so you can't just turn up. We had various puddings, including blackberry and apple crumble,... More

Nice welcome, but no air con so becuase the table next to ours was eating fish and chips the smell was so strong, I had no alternative than to order haddock and chips. The haddock was ok, but the mushy peas were a spoonful of some warm and some half cold peas (yuck) and the chips were the tiny off... More

We came here as a group of 8 a few days ago to celebrate 2 birthdays. We've visited in the past so knew what to expect. The menu is always varied and done well and I love the fresh bread basket to nibble on before ordering. It took some time to be given our menus and that became the theme... More

Have just returned from Sunday Lunch at this pub and have to say that we were a little disappointed. Calamari to start with along with the foccachia bread was good and the roast beef mains with Yorkshire pudding was delicious. However, the roast lamb was stringy and the venison sausages were not that great. We had left room for pudding,... More

Went with family for the first time and had a superb time and was made very welcome by all the staff. Atmosphere was lovely. Food was superb. A real gem of a pub with a lovely open fire which we sat by and admired. A must if you are in the area or passing through.
