A real find at the rear of the Antiques Centre on Broad St. Stopped here for Afternoon Tea & we were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome & our beverages & homemade cake were absolutely lovely. Try the lemon cake, its just fab!!

Just the place to get away from the crowds and relax. Outdoor area a real suntrap, plenty of space to sit. Prices very good compared to many cafes along the prom and good quality food. Will come back again to try the cake!

We came across this delightful Cafe by chance, the waitress was very friendly and we were made very welcome. The customers were very friendly, this was obviously where the locals had their lunch too. The garden was a real sun trap and welcomed dogs too - a huge bonus for dog owners. The food was all home made and was... More

Having spent the last week in Lyme Regis yet again we went to the Penny Black cafe. A warm welcome is always guaranteed and the coffee/food is always of good quality and very reasonably priced. We visited a total of 3 times during the week and we could not fault the service and the friendly atmosphere (and the choice of... More

Best scone I have tasted for years..proper homemade, by the owners husband, I believe. Washed down with a delicious cup of tea. Very friendly and polite staff and very good value for money. I will return!

This café is tucked away at the back of the Post Office and Antique Centre on Broad Street so don't miss it. We visited because of previous reviews and weren't disappointed. We received a warm welcome from staff and locals/regulars alike. It's a joy to have a slice of home made cake instead of the mass produced factory made produce... More

Perfect for lunch, fresh and homemade. I had a delicious sweet potato fish and prawn pie, which I'm going to try and imitate at home, it was so yummy. My husbands peppered mackerel was perfect, and the salads so interesting, far more than the usual limp lettuce that is often served up in inferior establishments. Decor is great too!

Wonderful little Tea Shop serving breakfasts, lunches, high teas. Lovely customer service, accommodating to special dietary requirements and the coffees are extremely good.

Visited for the first time after hearing only about its spoons with cakes on the end. Was delighted to find such a hidden treasure! Had tea for two served in colourful teapots and yes a spoon with a cake on the end, but my favourite bit was the milk jug in the shape of a cow! Also had two teacakes... More

We visited based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and very pleased with our experience. The cafe itself hardly wows, with its decor, but the staff make up for it. We were greeted by Dorset's answer to Paloma Faith, a beautiful, friendly waitress who served us our cream teas with clotted cream and jam. The scones were divine, perfectly fresh. The... More
