Good place for a lunch

It was day to see why this place had good reviews. On a wet and windy day in Lyme Regis and with most places still not open it was good to see thus one open. My friends in the small gallery a few doors down recommended this cafe. We were so glad they did. The atmosphere was perfect. The staff were lovely. The food was really good. The selection of teas was really impressive - my Japanese Green Tea was really outstanding. Not what I expected to find in sleepy Lyme Regis. Well done!

Started with a proper long black....difficult to find in the UK. So great coffee...tick. Followed up with curried pumpkin and chickpea soup- just devine. Hot and hearty. Kids have had fresh smoothies which they really loved. Salivating over homemade cakes selection...Victoria Sponge or Salted Caramel cream cake. OMG this place is such a welcome find among what can be very... More

A small comfortable and welcoming coffee shop and eatery in the busy bottom of the town area. Close to the beach, sea walks and museum; and it was the staff there that recommended this as a great lunch stop - they even gave me a 10% discount voucher. Décor is a bit tired and dated looking but cosy and comfortable... More

We popped into Aroma for a quick sandwich and cup of tea What we received were some of the nicest sandwiches we'd had for a long time. Beautiful fresh bread, loads of filling, and a beautiful rustic salad. I had a pot of tea, and chose from a wide range of leaf teas, whilst my wife had a fantastic hot... More

Love this cafe. Have been in several times over the last few years when visiting Lyme Regis and have found it to be consistently good. Interesting food and flavours, pleasant relaxed atmosphere and generous portions. Also like the fact that it is individualistically styled. A welcome absence of shabby-chic pseudo-vintage accoutrements; not an over-iced cup cake in sight. Long live... More

Popped in to Aroma after a museum trip the entry fee giving a 10% discount. We just had coffee and a 'Dorset Bud' which was a type of doughy scone. On the plus side the surroundings were pleasantly stylish with interesting seating and there was a good range of food including gluten free options. However my coffee was served lukewarm... More

Loads of choices for anyone with a gluten intolerance, we loved the salted caramel cake! My husband isn't gf but enjoys the food here as much as I do. Coffee is always good and the welcome always warm. Well worth a visit

I had a delicious lunch here, they cater for every dietary requirement and everything on the menu is fresh and wholesome. Really good coffee and selection of teas. The best bit - in the seating area out the back they have a children's play area in the shape of a boat, with books and toys so your little ones can... More

Lovely little coffee shop, with back room for kids and extra space. Coffee was a bit slow (and orders got mixed up), but great when it arrived. Friendly, tasty, definitely going again!
